Wednesday, July 27

*12:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bailey Street regarding the burglary of a habitation where a large amount of cash was stolen.

Friday, July 29

*7:43 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies responded a residence on Main Street in Blanket, TX regarding a report of theft.  According to the report, a chair valued at $100 was taken from the complainant’s porch.  An investigation is still ongoing, the report states.

*9:32 PM – Brownwood Police were on a traffic stop in the 300 block of W. Commerce Street when they observed another vehicle lose control and end up overturned.  According to the report, this led to the arrest of 40-year-old Dieter James Mullen of Bangs, Texas for driving while intoxicated and driving while license invalid due to suspension.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for an expired license plate.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 38-year-old Adam Wayne Funderburg of Zephyr came to a stop at Stephen F. Austin and Custer Road after having accelerated to the speed of over 70 mph for about 1.4 miles. During an investigation, the deputy placed Funderburg under arrest for evading arrest/detention with vehicle.  Funderburg was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond as of Monday morning.

*30-year-old Curtis James Greene of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon/probation.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 28-year-old Jason Matthew Inglet of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Christopher B. Rose of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/delivery of a controlled substance drug free zone.  Rose was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Monday morning.

Saturday, July 30

*12:31 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Lackey Street regarding a domestic disturbance involving an assault.

*8:31 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding a child custody issue.

*3:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft of property.  According to the report, an unknown suspect stole two pet carriers from the victim.

*7:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Walnut Street regarding a male subject, identified as 40-year-old David Ernest Tucknott of Brownwood, calling 911 continuously.  As officers were speaking with Tucknott, they determined that he was intoxicated to the point he was a danger to himself and others, the report states.  Tucknott was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.

*7:26 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 189 in Bangs, Texas regarding a criminal mischief report and investigation.  According to the report, the complainant advised he had discovered the mailbox in front of his gate had been damaged sometime between approximately 2:00 and 3:00 p.m.  The deputy found another mailbox along CR 189 had also been damaged, the report states.  The deputy spoke with the property owner who stated that the mailbox had previously been hit but not to the current extent of damage.

*8:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of 1st Street regarding a suspicious call.  According to the report, an incident of aggravated assault with deadly weapon was being investigated.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 24-year-old Tresta Donahoo of Early for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 53-year-old Steven Trevino Hernandez of Bangs on two active warrants and for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.  Hernandez was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond as of Monday morning.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 68-year-old John Wayne Hughes of Cross Plains for boating while intoxicated 3rd or more.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 32-year-old Dean Travis Latulip of Austin on a warrant for criminal mischief out of Pflugerville, Texas and for violation of occupational driver’s license.

*Brownwood Police arrested 50-year-old Donald Ray Lieberman of Zephyr on a warrant related to public intoxication.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old Katrina Robles of Leander, Texas for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and on three active warrants.  Robles was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $31,500.

Sunday, July 31

*1:39 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, a male subject stated he was assaulted by his girlfriend.  The incident was settled by separation, the report states.

*5:27 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.

*9:07 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s corporal was dispatched the area of County Road 136 regarding a report of an abandoned vehicle. The complainant advised there was a SUV, which had been parked on the side of the road for a week, according to the report.

*11:50 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant who reported his bicycle had been stolen from his house sometime the night before. According to the report, the missing bike was later recovered on County Road 136 and returned to the complainant.

*11:52 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s corporal was dispatched to the report of a reckless driver.  According to the report, the suspect vehicle was located at Flat Rock Park. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Carlos Josue Rodriguez of Brownwood, was placed under arrest for no driver’s license.

*2:55 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s corporal was dispatched to the area of County Roads 151 and 103 regarding several damaged mailboxes.

*4:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a suspicious call.

*6:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Savoy Drive regarding a burglary.

*8:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue B regarding found property.  According to the report, a vehicle had been burglarized and a purse with personal identification and a few expired credit cards was stolen and later recovered.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Hutchins Trail regarding damage to a mail box. According to the report, the complainant’s mailbox along with several of his neighbor’s mailboxes had all been hit with a stick of some sort.  A witness reported that the offense occurred between 5:30 and 6:00 pm the day before and a description of the suspect vehicle was given.

*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Dakota Carrasco of Santa Anna on a warrant related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 21-year-old Jennifer Castruita of Santa Anna for driving while intoxicated.
