Thursday, July 26
*8:36am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that two bottles of Adderall were stolen out of his company work truck.
*10:28am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of 4th Street regarding a civil matter. According to the report, the apartment complex manager reported an unwanted person.
Sunday, July 29
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence regarding a feud. According to the report, the complainant stated that he believes the neighbors had been coming onto his property and letting his dogs out. Two criminal trespass warnings were issued to the neighbors.
Monday, July 30
*12:12pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue L, the Boys and Girls Club, regarding a juvenile problem. According to the report, the call led to the arrest of a 15-year-old child for Criminal Trespassing.
Tuesday, July 31
*12:30am-Brown County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a stolen vehicle. At approximately 7:00am that same morning, a deputy located the vehicle traveling on Hwy 279 and made a traffic stop. The vehicle was confirmed as stolen and Rebecca Vasquez and her male passenger were taken into custody at that time, the report states. Vasquez was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and the male subject was released due to the fact that the male did not know about the vehicle being stolen, the report states.
*3:26am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Willis regarding the burglary of vehicles in that area. According to the report, a group of juveniles had been seen in their vehicles. A witness stated that he chased the group down Southside Drive, the report states.
*7:54am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of 12th Street regarding found property. According to the report, the homeowner stated that a bicycle had been left in his yard for over a week and he wanted the police to take the bicycle in case it was stolen. The bicycle was taken to the BPD impound for safekeeping until it can be properly identified and claimed.
*9:22am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Greenway Drive regarding the theft of a bicycle.
*10:06am-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her son’s bicycle was stolen and there were no known suspects.
*11:03am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Main Blvd regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, three feet of insulated copper wire was stolen.
*2:43pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding fraud and theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a check from his account had been held by TexasBank in the amount of $200. The complainant also reported stolen an Eagle brand double carport with red metal roof, the report states. Suspects have been identified according to the report.
*5:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Bailey Street regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the complainant stated that her 17-year-old foster child ran away.
*6:16pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding an animal bite. According to the report, a woman’s two inside dogs were jealous of her attention and when she went to separate them, one of the dogs bit her on the hand. One of the dogs is an 8-year-old Shih-Tzu and the other is a 12-year-old Beagle; she did not know which one did the biting, the report states. Animal Control was notified of the incident and the woman agreed to keep the dogs secure so that they could be monitored as a precaution.
*7:31pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a hit and run involving a bicycle. According to the report, a boy was riding his bicycle and was hit from behind by a vehicle. The boy stated that the accident caused him to flip his bicycle over and that the driver did not stop at the scene, the report states. The victim had minor injuries to his right wrist and left knee, the report states. The suspect driver and vehicle had not been identified at the time of the report.
*7:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 6th Street and Avenue D regarding a citizen’s dispute. According to the report, a woman and two men stated that they were victims of an assault. The woman stated that known suspects walked up to her house and assaulted her and her guests.
*9:50pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the BRMC emergency room regarding a dog bite. According to the report, the complainant’s 12-year-old daughter had been bitten by a dog while riding her bicycle in the 1600 block of Avenue I. The girl stated that a man was walking his leashed dog, and when she rode too close to them, the dog bit her on the leg, the report states. The girl had visible scratches of two inches on her leg, but she stated that they did not hurt, according to the report.
