Monday, July 6
*12:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding the burglary of a vehicle. This incident is pending further investigation, the report states.
*12:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding a weapons offense. According to the report, the complainant stated that her neighbor shot her dog.
*3:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a north Brownwood residence regarding an alleged sexual assault. According to the report, the incident occurred around July 5th or 6th. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
Tuesday, July 7
*10:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3600 block of 4th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, someone ran over the complainant’s mailbox.
*10:41 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of South Broadway regarding theft. According to the report, a .38 caliber revolver was stolen from the property.
*2:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 11th Street regarding trespassing. According to the report, the complainant stated that 21-year-old Steven Frias of Brownwood had entered his home. Frias was arrested for criminal trespass and theft equal or less than $50.*2:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of 7th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, several items including two window unit air conditioners were stolen and a vehicle at the residence was damaged.
*3:18 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding fraudulent use or possession of identifying information. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect had used her name and social security number on at least one book in at the Brown County Jail.
*3:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Fisk Avenue regarding the burglary of a habitation.
*5:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 9th Street regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime over the past two weeks, an unknown subject had broken in and stolen several items.
*5:48 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a company on Morris Shepherd Drive regarding theft. According to the report, an employee was allegedly stealing money from the company for which he had been employed with as the IT Tech and accounts manager.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 47-year-old Shawn Wayne Griffin of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property greater than $50 less than $500. Griffin was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $9,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Sharah Danielle Hickmott of Hamilton on warrants related to four counts of unrestrained animal and discharge fireworks in city limit.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Joe William Stephens of Brownwood for tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*42-year-old Thomas Reed Stewart of Brownwood was arrested for public intoxication.
Wednesday, July 8
*4:56 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to do a civil standby as a local business terminated an employee. According to the report, the employee was then issued a criminal trespass warning for the company’s property.
*9:43 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of South Broadway regarding theft. According to the report, an investigation is ongoing.
*9:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, a citation for theft less than or equal to $50 was issued to a female subject.
*Early Police arrested 50-year-old Maria Delores Robledo of Early on a warrant related to motion to revoke/duty on striking fixture.
