Friday, July 5

*Brown County Sheriff’s Department received a report of an assault that allegedly took place at Sandy Beach.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend had assaulted her.

Sunday, July 7

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the victim re-contacted the Sheriff’s Office and stated that he had located the vehicle but that some items were missing from the vehicle.  A report for theft of material aluminum/bronze, copper/brass was made.

Monday, July 8

*12:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the complainant stated that between July 6th and July 8th, an unknown subject broke into his business and stole approximately $19,000 worth of merchandise.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*10:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Milam Drive regarding an assault that had occurred earlier in the evening.  Investigation found that a 10-year-old child had been punched in the neck by a 12-year-old child while the two were attending a baseball game, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Steven Ray Chevrie of Austin on a warrant for bail jumping and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Dustin Tyler Crosby of Baytown on an indictment for engage in organized criminal activity and on a warrant for theft of services equal to or greater than $500 less than $1500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Modesta Nicole Bilbrey Perrie for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 2 or 2A equal or greater than 400 grams.

Tuesday, July 9

*12:03 AM – A Brownwood Police officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Magnolia Street regarding a possibly intoxicated subject that was driving with a child passenger.    According to the report, the driver was identified as 24-year-old Julia Olvera Vargas.  An investigation was performed and Vargas was found to be intoxicated, the report states.  Vargas was charged with driving while intoxicated with child passenger.
