Sunday, July 5

*6:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Mayes regarding harassment.  According to the report, a known subject is harassing the complainant via text messages.

Monday, July 6

*9:12 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 1st Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, someone had broken out the back window of the complainant’s house and kicked in the back door of the residence.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*9:54 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of 6th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*10:15 PM – An Early Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 300 block of Early Blvd for speeding.  According to the report, while the officer was interviewing the driver she attempted to hide something with her hand.  The officer made the female driver, identified as Angela Jernigan of Brownwood, step out of the car.  Jernigan at that time attempted to put something in her mouth; however, the officer prevented the Jernigan from putting the item in her mouth and was able to place her in handcuffs during the struggle, the report states. Jernigan was attempting to swallow four 350mg pills of carisoprodol (Soma,a schedule IV dangerous drug), which is a Class A misdemeanor, and nine 2 mg pills of alprazolam (Xanax), which is a penalty group 3 drug, the report states.  Jernigan was placed under arrest and taken to the Brown County jail.

*4:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Riverside Park regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, four subjects were observed walking into the nature trail area of the park.  The caller stated that he had observed one of the males spray paint some of the park property (trash cans, trees and dumpsters), the report states.  The responding officer located the four males and observed one to have a spray can in his hand, the report states.  The grounds keeper/park manager advised that on behalf of the city, he wished to pursue charges and two of the males, the report states.  As a result of the call, 23-year-old Richard Zachery O’Connor of Corpus Christi and 37-year-old Michael Christopher of Brownwood were arrested and charged with graffiti pecuniary loss less than $500, according to the report.  Christopher was also arrested on an active warrant related to assault family/household member impede breath/circulation.   Christopher was being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $20,000 as of Tuesday morning.

*11:33 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street regarding a defective headlamp.  According to the report, during the stop, a usable amount of marijuana was located, which led to the arrest of 18-year-old Daryl Roy Ballinger, Jr. for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Rachel Barnett of May on a warrant related to fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Amanda Elaine Carrillo of Brownwood on warrants related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than $500 and tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair.

*49-year-old Jackie Mae Ellis of Snyder turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke/credit card abuse against the elderly.

*Brown County sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Dale Wayne Jones of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to maintain financial responsibility.

Tuesday, July 7

*12:06 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding harassment.  According to the report, a relative of the complainant continues to harass them by phone.

*Early Police arrested 50-year-old Angela Sue Harwell of Brownwood was arrested on possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams and possession of a dangerous drug.

*40-year-old Jason Norbert Mueggenborg of Early was arrested on a warrant related to burglary of a building.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Colby Don Thompson of Early on two warrants each related to 10 years Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
