Tuesday, July 1
*11:49 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Clark Street, Good Samaritan Ministries, regarding theft. According to the report, two purses valued at $10 were taken along with some miscellaneous clothing. Two suspects were identified, the report states.
Wednesday, July 2
*9:20 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a victim who was run over by a vehicle in the area of Shamrock Drive near Lake Brownwood. According to the report, the deputy arrived on scene and spoke with the victim and two witnesses. The suspect was not on scene and was identified as a relative of the victim. The victim’s injuries were photographed, witnesses were interviewed, along with the suspect, and a report was made.
Thursday, July 3
*1:25 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Gregory Fred Conant of Odessa for driving while intoxicated, during an accident investigation at the EZ Mart convenient store on Hwy 279, in Brownwood. According to the report, Conant struck a guard pole in front of the store and the driver’s door of another vehicle in the parking lot, with his vehicle. Conant failed standard field sobriety tests and consented to provide a specimen of his blood, the report states. The specimen was obtained at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room, and Conant was transported to the Brown County Jail.*5:25 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of E. Commerce Street, Tractor Supply Company, for an alarm. Officers arrived on scene to find a window had been broken by an apparent small object; however, no entry had been made into the business, the report states. A report was filed regarding criminal mischief.
*4:36 PM – A Brownwood Police officer observed a known female operating a vehicle in the 1000 block of Vine Street with a suspended driver’s license. According to the report, the female, identified as 23-year-old Crystal Gayle Newingham of Brownwood was contacted and placed under arrest for driving while license invalid with prior convictions.
*5:01 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, a loss prevention employee observed 20-year-old Ceairra Dawn Moore of Rising Star conceal items inside her purse and exit the store without paying. Moore was arrested for theft of property greater than $50 less than $500 and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*7:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of N. Center Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, a female subject identified as 44-year-old Eve Oneil OConner of Lake Brownwood was arrested after shoplifting and was arrested for theft greater than $50 with previous convictions.
*11:34 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Brooke Valley Drive, in May regarding an assault. According to the report, the deputy arrived and made contact with the complainant/victim and her fiancé. The victim and her fiancé stated that they lived at the residence with a woman who they help care for; however, earlier that night, at approximately 9:30 PM, the woman had assaulted the victim multiple times, causing pain, the report states. The victim stated that the suspect had slapped her on the face twice and grabbed her arm once, according to the report. No visible marks or bruises were visible on the victim’s face and arm at the time of the report. According to the report, the suspect, identified as 56-year-old Sheryl Dawn Scott told the deputy no assault had taken place and that the victim was lying. Scott was arrested for assault family violence to prevent any further violence from occurring, the report states.
*11:41PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to CR 135 to a report that a woman had been assaulted and left on foot in the area. According to the report, the deputy located the victim walking in about the 1800 block of CR 135. The victim told the deputy she had been assaulted by a known subject while in her vehicle, and he left her on foot after the assault, the report states. The deputy gave the victim a courtesy ride to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and a report was made according to the report.
*54-year-old Ruben Garcia Martinez of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to tamper fabricate evidence.
*17-year-old Luis Miguel Mejia of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to criminal trespass.
Friday, July 4
*9:37 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was investigating a property located on County Road 151, after receiving a phone call from Paul at the Brownwood Health Department. The deputy observed a large amount of construction debris all around the unoccupied residence, several PVC pipes of various diameters and lengths in the dry stream bed, directly behind the residence along with 4-6 tires and miscellaneous trash.
*10:57 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Riverside Drive regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the report, a male subject stated that a female subject had borrowed his silver 2002 Nissan Frontier the previous night and had not returned. The complainant wished to report the pickup stolen and wished to pursue charges against the female, the report states.
*8:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street, Kroger, regarding the theft of beer. According to the report, a male subject stole a 30-pack of beer valued at $21.99. If the subject can be identified, Kroger management requested that a criminal trespass warning be issued, the report states.
*11:57 PM – Brownwood Police assisted in the investigation of an assault with injury family violence when a juvenile made an outcry of sexual abuse. According to the report, the officer began a separate investigation into the outcry. A report was made and BPD criminal investigation department was contacted along with Child Protective Services, the officer stated in his report. Both arrived and the investigation was continuing, the report states.
*11:30 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 700 block of Penn Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 33-year-old Timothy Knox of Brownwood on charges of assault family violence with offensive touch.
*11:57 PM – Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Samuel Sturdivant, Jr. of Brownwood on charges of injury to a child. According to the report, Child Protective Services were notified.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 31-year-old Ruben Quintana Garcia of Junction for driving while intoxicated/open container.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 28-year-old Kevin Salazar of Early for Possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams and driving while license invalid. Salazar is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $22,000.
Saturday, July 5
*2:50 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a noise nuisance. According to the report, as officers arrived in the area, two male subjects were observed actively fighting. Both subjects were determined to be highly intoxicated, the report states. The males, identified as 29-year-old Anthony Ray Yeager of Brownwood and 24-year-old Joey Hernandez of Odessa, were arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication, according to the report. Yeager was additionally charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of drug after being found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during the intake process at the Brown County Jail, the report states.
*6:34 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Temple Avenue regarding the burglary of a habitation.
*10:44 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of W. Commerce Street, Burkes Outlet, regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had observed an unknown suspect concealing clothing items in his shorts. The male subject was caught on video stealing a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. An investigation is ongoing and the store wishes to pursue charges, the report states.
*9:24 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that $400 in cash along with a metal sign which read “Zombie Outbreak Response Team,” was stolen from the vehicle. The complainant did wish to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified.
*10:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Santa Clara Drive regarding trespassing. At the request of the current resident, her ex-boyfriend was issued a trespass warning at the above address.
*11:35 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue, Coggin Park regarding loud music. According to the report, the officer arrived and located several male subjects sitting on the picnic table near the playground. The officer noted that beer was being consumed at the park, the report states. Dispatch advised that 20-year-old Nathan Ray Prosise of Brownwood had a criminal trespass warning for the park. The officer learned that another male had been in possession of alcohol at the park. Prosise was arrested for criminal trespass and the other male was issued citation for minor in possession of alcoholic beverage.
*12:57 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue A regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, a female was present at the location and refusing to leave and the resident was afraid of the female. Upon the officer’s arrival, he spoke with the resident who stated that he did not want the female on his property and that he had asked her to leave approximately six times; however she refused to leave and he wished to pursue charges, the report states. This call led to the arrest of 39-year-old Lucy Ogden of Brownwood for criminal trespass.
*3:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3000 block of 1st Street regarding drug/narcotics. According to the report, dispatch advised that a caller had advised that his girlfriend’s juvenile son was in possession of marijuana and had left the scene on foot. The officer made contact with the caller and a usable quantity of marijuana and paraphernalia were collected at the scene and was turned into BPD as evidence, the report states. The juvenile was not able to be located at the time of the report, according to the officer.
*4:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Porter Street regarding a missing person. According to the report, a runaway juvenile was reported; however, the juvenile was later found in Coleman County and returned to her home.
*Early Police arrested 40-year-old Brandi Bundick of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Early Police arrested 43-year-old Jim Wayne Bundick of Early for assault family violence impede breath.
*Early Police arrested 37-year-old Bobby James Crouch of Early for driving while license invalid.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 33-year-old Lance Ray Francis of Zephyr for boating while intoxicated.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 23-year-old Jake Godin of Stephenville for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 equal or greater than 28 grams less than 200 grams, possession of marijuana greater than 4 ounces less than 5 pounds, and unlawful carrying weapon.
Sunday, July 6
*5:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Avenue E regarding a noise nuisance. According to the report, loud music was coming from the residence and could be heard a distance well past that allowed by city ordinance. The occupant of the home was issued a citation for city ordinance violation – noise nuisance.
*1:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce Street, Luxury Inn, regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, dispatch advised the officer that a male subject was causing a scene, refusing to pay for his room, and had knocked a hole in the wall of the room. Upon making contact with the male subject, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the subject or his room, the report states.
*8:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, upon investigating, 24-year-old Kalista Sudderth of Brownwood was placed under arrest for attempting to leave the store without paying for several items of merchandise. Sudderth was charged with theft greater than $50 less than $500.
*8:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Austin Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, an incident of aggravated sexual assault of a child was discovered. The subjects were released from the scene and the incident.
*8:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. Upon investigating, 39-year-old Jason Mueggenborg of Early was placed under arrest for theft greater than $50 less than $500 after attempting to leave without paying for two items.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Randoll Gerardo Berumen of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Victoria Longoria of Waco for driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Nathan Lusk of Alvarado for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 62-year-old Charles Glen Newton of Epps, Louisiana for boating while intoxicated.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 29-year-old Brian Patrick Sweeten of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. Sweeten is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $14,000.
*Brown County sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Amber Nicole Thornton of Alvarado for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Monday, July 7
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Brad Lee Anderson of Waco on a warrant related to motion to revoke/theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Early Police arrested 20-year-old Hunter Jack Heard of Early for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.
