Law Enforcement arrests and reports released July 7, 2011.

Wednesday, July 6

*12:22pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding a burglary of a vehicle.  The complainant stated that the incident occurred between 5:00pm on July 3rd and 11:00am July 4th.  A wallet was reported to have been stolen during the burglary, according to the report.

*3:21pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 200 block of W. Commerce where a contractor for the AT&T store reported damage to an air conditioning unit on the roof of the building.  A previous call to that location was regarding found property.  A wallet had been found on the roof and the contractor turned the wallet in.  According to police, the owner of the wallet was called and stated that his wallet was possibly stolen when he was at Wal-Mart about a month ago and that possibly the thief threw it up on the roof so that it would not be found.  According to police, the air conditioner was later found to have been damaged; the aluminum on the unit’s exterior was dented as if someone was trying to get inside the building.  Because there was only cosmetic damage to the unit, the store did not wish to pursue charges, the report states.

*4:04pm-Brownwood Police responded to a juvenile problem at an apartment complex in the 2800 block of Southside.  According to the report, after the officer spoke to several people it was determined that the juvenile had been at the location on numerous occasions causing problems.  At the apartment manager’s request, the juvenile male was issued a criminal trespass warning for the apartments.

*6:25pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Avenue B regarding criminal mischief.  The complainant stated that unknown person(s) shot out several of the windows on his van that was parked in his back yard.  No suspect information was known at the time of the report.

*9:43pm-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol when he noticed a vehicle make an improper turn in the 1300 block of Coggin Avenue.  Further investigation determined that the driver had an invalid license and did not have insurance.  The driver, identified as 36-year-old Michael Andrew Stanley of Early, was arrested for Driving While License Invalid and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.

*A Brownwood Narcotics officer arrested 50-year-old Melinda Gay Belveal for Delivery/Offer Delivery of a Dangerous Drug.  According to police officials, Belveal was attempting to sell muscle relaxers.

*A Brownwood Narcotics officer arrested 61-year old Orville Ray Boese for Manufacture/Delivery of Simulated Controlled Substance, Misled.  According to police officials, Boese attempted to sell what he represented to be Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen.  The arresting officer did not believe the suspect’s story of the type of drug and contacted poison control who identified the pill to be only over the counter Acetaminophen, according to police.

Thursday, July 7

*1:23am-A Brownwood Police officer noticed a subject in 800 block of W. Commerce, the Goodwill Store parking lot.  Another subject was noticed getting into a vehicle with items of clothing in their hands.  Communications contacted the manager of the Goodwill Store who wished for criminal trespass warnings to be issued to the subjects.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
