Wednesday, July 1

*11:37 AM – Brownwood police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Vine Street regarding a subject wishing to pursue charges for the theft of a vehicle, the report states.

*1:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of 1st Street regarding harassment.

*2:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to an agency assistance regarding a report of indecency with a child.  The initial report was taken by a Department of Family and Protective Services, the report states.

*9:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a wheelchair that had been loaned to him by a friend had been stolen off of his front porch.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen horse.

Thursday, July 2

*6:24 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 2nd Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.

*7:52 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of 2nd Street regarding criminal mischief.

*9:56 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of Cordell Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the victim stated that 64-year-old George Britt White, Jr. had strangled her and then left on foot.  White was arrested and charged with Assault Family violence/house member/impede breath/circulation.

*10:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Durham regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*12:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance.

*1:32 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1300 block of Magnolia regarding an assault.

*2:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Victoria Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the manager of the City of Brownwood’s Wiggins Pool, reported that someone had cut the chain link fencing to the pool area and had defecated in the pool.

*3:18 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a vehicle on North Hwy 183.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her car was forcibly entered approximately 3 weeks ago and items were stolen.

*4:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 3rd Street regarding criminal trespass.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 30-year-old Farrah Deann Smith for criminal trespass.

*10:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a Brownwood residence regarding a sexual assault which had occurred at a different location.

Friday, July 3

*7:47 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen laptop and two missing iPads with keyboards from a residence on FM 45 South.  A possible suspect was named, the report states.

*10:57 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding fraud.  According to the report, a local business had received a check back in May and had just learned that the check had been forged.

*12:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding the theft of a bicycle from the apartment complex.

*3:07 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, during the investigation it was learned that the mother of a minor was advised that her child had been sexually assaulted by a family member.  A report was filed for aggravated sexual assault of a child and the investigation is ongoing, according to law enforcement.

*9:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident.

*Early Police arrested 21-year-old Juan Carlos Castaneda on two counts manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams and manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams.  Castaneda was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $30,000 as of Monday morning.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Justin Derry of San Antonio for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and on an active Bexar County warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.

*Early Police arrested 35-year-old Sunshine Sliger Dudley of Blanket on two counts of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams, manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams, and for failure to identify.  Dudley was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $31,500 as of Monday morning.

*Brown County sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Richard Michael Malone, Jr. of Mesa, Colorado on a warrant related to theft of property less than $20 by check enhanced.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Kelvin Dewayne Russell of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone, driving with no license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Saturday, July 4

*11:08 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief on County Road 541.  According to the report, someone had broken the rear window of the complainant’s van.

*12:07 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Cindy Cove regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, this call led to a suspect identified as 34-year-old Eustaquio Almazan Gonzales, Jr. of Brownwood being located and arrested for accident involving damage to vehicle equal or greater than $200.

*1:12 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a hit and run accident in the area of 4th Street and Avenue K.  The suspect vehicle was identified as a light colored sport utility vehicle.  According to the report, the suspect vehicle was unable to be located.

*1:59 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue A regarding a fight in progress.  According to the report, some of the parties involved in the fight had left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.  Subjects still in the area were checked and advised that no one knew anything at the location.  A female subject later spoke with officers and advised that she wished to speak with an officer, the report states.  This call led to a report of assault with injury being filed to document the incident, according to police.

*6:58 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding a utility pole which had been struck by a vehicle.  According to the report, the crash caused the guide line to break and the pole to snap and break.  Many lines were also torn from the pole, the report states.

*10:11 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Baker and Hawkins Streets.  During the stop, 29-year-old Shaun Michael Bennett of Zephyr was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Bennet was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, the report states.

*12:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Avenue D regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a vehicle had been damaged.

*1:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Good Shepherd regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the concession stand at the Brownwood High School baseball field had been broken into and several items were taken.  An investigation is ongoing the report states.

*2:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, two subjects identified as 51-year-old Albert Duffie of Brownwood and a female were located and found to be intoxicated.  Both subjects were arrested for public intoxication and the female was also found to have an active warrant for her arrest.

*4:57 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 11th Street and Avenue D  regarding a traffic stop of a possible drunk driver.  According to the report, as a result of the driving while intoxicated interview, 44-year-old Gary Dwayne Tillery of Midland was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the emergency room for a blood draw.

*11:01 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Hwy 183 North regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated someone had broken out a side window of her residence while she was at the lake watching the fireworks display.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatch to the area of FM 2125 and Circle P Heights regarding a domestic disturbance.  Two subjects told the deputy they had been assaulted by a known female subject, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 31-year-old Mandy Buitron of Brownwood on a Taylor County warrant related to theft of property.

*Early Police arrested 38-year-old Jerry Done McCain, Jr. of Abilene on warrants related to failure to appear and ran stop sign.

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Tiffany LaShawn McDowell of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/criminal trespass.

*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Michael Anthony  Ouchi of Grayford, Texas on a warrant related to failure to appear/motion of enforcement child support.

*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 33-year-old Daniel Ray Prickett of Brownwood for boating while intoxicated.

* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 28-year-old Cesar Rodrigues of Austin for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Sunday, July 5

*5:02 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the area of Monaghan Drive regarding someone attempting to enter a residence on Belfast Drive.  The subject was identified by the caller as 28-year-old Lukas Scott Rootes of Brownwood.  Two BCSO deputies were unable to locate Rootes but went near where he lives and found Rootes walking down the roadway highly intoxicated and without any clothes on, the report states. Rootes was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

*12:06 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a Lake Brownwood Patrol officer reported a domestic disturbance in the parking lot of a business.  After further investigation, a woman stated she had been assaulted by her boyfriend, the report states.  The female had visible injuries according to the officer’s report.  This call led to the arrest of 34-year-old Brian Edward Lanier of Steele, Michigan for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*12:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Cordell Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant’s 15-year-old son had been assaulted by an older male subject.  This call led to the arrest of 29-year-old Theldon Lamont Vaughn of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury.

*1:58 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Almond Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, a male victim was located and found to be actively bleeding from his mouth and the top of his head.  The victim stated that he had been assaulted with a tree limb, was punched and that his wallet had been stolen from him by a male subject.  The male subject, later identified as 17-year-old Floyd Ware of Brownwood, was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, the report states.   Ware was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond as of Monday morning.

*4:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding an intoxicated subject inside a vehicle.  According to the report, the officer found 21-year-old Christopher Brian Hickey inside of his truck asleep.  Hickey was found to be highly intoxicated and was arrested for public intoxication, the report states.

*7:23 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Austin Avenue and Carnegie Street.  This stop led to a citation being issued to a male subject for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*1:01 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 6th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the victim went to retrieve items out of his vehicle around 11:00 a.m. and noticed the items were missing from the vehicle which was parked in front of a residence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 60-year-old David Wayne Jernigan of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Michael A Perry of Brownwood on a Mills County warrant related to violation of a protective order.

* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 18-year-old Brody Plunkett of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 54-year-old Richard Smothermon of Lubbock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Samuel James Watson for public intoxication.
