Wednesday, July 29

*8:42 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 700 block of W. Commerce regarding the driver not wearing a seat belt.  According to the report, as a result of the stop, 59-year-old James Alton Deshields III of Brownwood was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*10:24 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 3rd Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a vehicle had been damaged by spray painting the sides and breaking three windows.  A possible suspect was named, the report states.

*12:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Fisk Street regarding the passing of counterfeit bills.  According to the report, one $20 and two $100 bills were reported to have been passed at local businesses.

*4:20 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a business in the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding forgery/counterfeiting.  According to the report, a counterfeit $50 bill was used to purchase items at the business.

*7:45 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on US 183 North in Early regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had cut a section of a barbed wire fence.

*9:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her wallet was stolen out of her purse while she was shopping.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Vance Gregory Joyner of Early for a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Haven Michelle McClain of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Thursday, July 30

*12:52 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Country Oaks Lane, in Brownwood regarding suspicious behavior.  According to the report, dispatch advised the deputy that their caller told them a man was on her porch and he told her that people were shooting at him.  The male subject was identified and eventually detained, the report states.  An investigation was conducted and 34-year-old Richard Elbert Nicholls of Brownwood was eventually arrested for criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500 and criminal trespass, according to the deputy’s report.

*36-year-old Lillian Baker of Bangs was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and on a surety withdrawals relate to possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

*55-year-old Cynthia Lorene Flanagan of Early was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, possession of a dangerous drug, too many permitted animals, and public nuisance.

*46 year-old William Ray Baker of Bangs was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and on a surety withdrawal/manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.
