Wednesday, July 24

*8:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 9th Street regarding harassment.  According to the report, a known subject allegedly had sent the complainant a threatening and obscene text message.

Sunday, July 28

*12:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding a hit and run accident.   According to the report, the back bumper on her vehicle was damaged in the incident.  Damage was estimated at $1,000, the report states.

Monday, July 29

*7:28 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Avenue E regarding an unwanted juvenile on the complainant’s property.

*9:06 AM – Brownwood Police responded to Wal-Mart regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, the bumper on the complainant’s vehicle was damaged in a hit and run accident.

*9:32 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Main Street regarding falsification of a drug screening urinalysis.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a subject falsified his urinalysis.  The subject, identified as 31-year-old Jackie Lee Byrd, was arrested and charged with false drug test/falsification device.

*3:32 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of 1st Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a pink and green girl’s bicycle valued at $85 had been stolen.

*6:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Irma Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, sometime between 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM, an unknown suspect(s) damaged the left tail light of the complainant’s vehicle. The damage is estimated at $100, the report states.  A possible suspect was named, according to police.

*39-year-old Michael Joe Anderson turned himself in on an indictment for indecency with a child sexual contact.

*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Jacob Diaz of San Antonio for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Brandon Lee Garcia of San Antonio for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Timothy James Ingram of Blanket on a warrant related to assault with bodily injury family violence.

*Bangs Police arrested 27-year-old Elpidio Martinez for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.

*33-year-old Auston Rand Welker (AKA Austin Rand Weller) turned himself in on an Eastland County warrant for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more/motion to revoke probation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of hindering a secured creditor from Giles Trade Lot.  According to the report, a Jeep Liberty was sold to a man who is now incarcerated in the Brown County Jail after being arrested in Portales, New Mexico.  The man and his girlfriend had taken the vehicle to New Mexico without informing Giles and have not made payments as agreed, the report states.  The girlfriend has been spoken to about the vehicle; however she will not answer phone calls, according to the report.  Repossession agents in New Mexico have not been able to locate the Jeep, which is valued at $5,145.

Tuesday, July 30

*3:44 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the area of Elizabeth Drive and Pasadena.  This stop led to the arrest of 22-year-old Katarino Santos Leal on a Tom Green County warrant for failure to identify fugitive, give false information.  Leal’s bicycle was placed in the bike impound for safe keeping.
