Sunday, June 30
*10:16 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Boyette Drive regarding the theft of a cell phone. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known female stole a cell phone from his residence while she was visiting him. The complainant stated that he would like to pursue charges against the suspect for the theft of the phone, valued at $70.
*4:35 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on Hwy 279 N, regarding theft. According to the report, a heavy duty tan air compressor valued at $875 had been stolen from the property he is renting.
Monday, July 1
*10:55 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Melwood regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, sometime between 10:30 PM on July 1 and 10:55 AM this date someone broke out the right rear window of the complainant’s vehicle. Repair of the damaged window was estimated to be $600 and the complainant wished to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified, the report states.
*11:55 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Melwood regarding an animal complaint. According to the report, the complainant reported an ongoing problem of aggressive dogs running at large. The owners of the dogs were later contacted and issued a citation for three animals at large and the dogs were secured inside the residence, the report states.
* 12:18 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of an alleged sexual assault involving inappropriate touching of a toddler by a known suspect.
*1:06 PM –Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding credit card abuse. According to the report, the complainant stated that an ex-employee had stolen her personal information and opened numerous credit card accounts over a two year period of time. The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges.
*1:23 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding a male subject passed out in his vehicle. According to the report, a welfare check was made on the male who awakened and began exhibiting signs of nervousness. He was asked for permission to search his vehicle for any illicit drugs, which was granted, and resulted in the discovery of a quantity of crystal-like substance. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine and the male, identified as 28-year-old Travis Sloan Shaw, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*2:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant (who is from San Antonio) stated that someone keyed her vehicle while she was visiting Brownwood.
*2:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Vine Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend stole $184 from her wallet.
Tuesday, July 2
*7:18 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that two of his vehicle’s tires were punctured. The complainant wishes to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.
*9:00 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 4th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that during the overnight hours, someone broke into the complainant’s locked vehicle and stole two televisions, an old VCR, two 20” wheels with tires and a box of kitchen ware. The stolen items were valued at $1245. The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges if the suspect(s) can be identified, the report states.
*9:26 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect entered her apartment while she was away and vandalized it. The complainant stated, “It’s not fair. Why are they always picking on me,” according to the report.
*10:30 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Avenue D regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that a female suspect had entered the complainant’s residence, took a shower, and then let the complainant’s dogs out. At the time of the report, there were no known items stolen from the residence, the report states. The complainant did wish to pursue charges against the known suspect, according to the report.
*11:24 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of fraud via a telephone call. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect used the complainant’s information to make a payment on a credit card.
*2:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Fisk Avenue regarding fraud. According to the report, this fraud involved counterfeit checks written on the complainant’s account for more than $7400.
*4:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding fraud. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had received two forged tax refund checks that were cashed at her store.
*10:39 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Good Shepherd regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 30-year-old Rachal Michelle Strasser for assault and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Irma Street regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the complainant’s 14-year-old daughter was identified as the runaway.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 43-year-old Sandra Denise Lankford on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
Wednesday, July 3
*12:53 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of 4th Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised that three white males had stolen a 30-pack of beer and left in a pickup, its direction was unknown.
*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Marianna Cintron Ramirez for driving while intoxicated with child passenger.
