Sunday, July 26
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on FM 586 W. regarding an assault. According to the report, a female victim stated that a known male subject came to her home, entering without permission, and assaulted the male victim. The suspect then fled the scene, the report states.
Monday, July 27
*6:59 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding terroristic threats having been made to the complainant by a roommate/friend.
*12:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Austin Avenue regarding the theft of a firearm. According to the report, the firearm was stolen from the complainant’s vehicle.
*2:21 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue L regarding an assault. According to the report, a juvenile suspect was transported to the Brownwood Police Department for processing and was later released to his foster parent.*3:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an assault.
*5:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2100 block of Elizabeth regarding theft. According to the report, patio furniture had been stolen from the complainant’s front porch.
Tuesday, July 28
*12:44 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street regarding a domestic disturbance involving an assault with injury.
*5:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center maintenance room regarding criminal mischief. A suspect was located and the complainant only wished to have the suspect removed from the property. The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Richard Chad Smith of Carrolton, Texas, was released from the property; however, after he was observed screaming and running into traffic, he was arrested for public intoxication, the report states.
*8:14 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Austin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.
*1:38 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding forgery. According to the report, the bank had received a counterfeit bill.
*3:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Vincent Street regarding the theft of a dog.
*4:49 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report via telephone of the theft of an ATV from a property on County Road 436 in Rising Star.
*5:09 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of 2nd Street regarding the theft of a chainsaw.
*5:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Wood Avenue regarding the theft of a bicycle.
*6:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of 2nd Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
*7:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of 4th Street regarding an assault. According to the report, a male subject had thrown a cracked beer bottle at another male, striking the victim on the right side of his face.
*9:45 PM – Brownwood Police observed a bicycle traveling in the area of Vine Street and Avenue C without a headlight at night. According to the report, a pedestrian stop was made which led to the arrest of 34-year-old James Andrew Williamson of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, the report states.
*9:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding the assault of a female. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 24-year-old Kenneth Whinham for assault family violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft via telephone. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had given a known suspect $2500 to buy him a portable building; however, the suspect has not been heard from since.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Donna Mae Kinsey of Brownwood on warrants related to minor in possession of alcohol, driving while license invalid/suspended, defective tail lamp(s), motor vehicle inspection violation, display expired license plates, and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Alexis Rodriguez of Early for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
Wednesday, July 29
*12:19 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding failure to stop at a designated stopping point. According to the report, the driver was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages and had open alcoholic container in the vehicle. He was not determined to be intoxicated enough to impair his motor skills while operating a motor vehicle on a public roadway, according to the officer. The driver was issued a warning for the failure to stop at the designated stopping point and given a citation for the open alcoholic container in the vehicle. The open alcoholic beverages were seized and disposed of, the report states.
*12:29 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, as a result of this call, 20-year-old Amanda Dionesia Quienteros of Brownwood was arrested for theft greater than $50 less than $500.
*18-year-old Elijah Ray Jones of Brownwood was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams. Jones was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $5000.
