Monday, July 22

*3:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

Thursday, July 25

*2:16 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Belle Plain regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant (who lives with her father) stated that a large amount of her clothing, jewelry and other personal items had been removed from her bedroom and bathroom and that she found a female subject she did not know asleep in the residence.  Several laundry baskets of the complainant’s belongings were found in the room where the unknown female was sleeping, the report states.  The suspect denied any intention of attempting to steal the items.  According to the suspect and the complainant’s father, she did have permission to stay at the residence; however, after the incident occurred, the complainant’s father authorized police to issue the suspect a criminal trespass warning for the property.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was working security for Food Plaza on Early Blvd. when he observed a silver Ford F-150 pickup pull into the parking lot at a high rate of speed, skidding to a stop in front of some juveniles standing in the parking lot.  The suspect, later identified as 33-year-old Erik Fred Steven Jordan, exited the truck running toward the juveniles then ran in the store and left at a high rate of speed, the report states.  He returned a short time later and the deputy detained him until Early Police arrived and arrested Jordan for driving while intoxicated.

Friday, July 26

*3:26 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Durham Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, three vehicle burglaries occurred in the 2500 and 2200 blocks of Durham Avenue and the 1000 block of Avenue K.

*8:29 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of 1st Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant reported that a tool box containing various tools was stolen from the bed of a truck sometime during the night.

*10:31 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to Corrigan Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had taken his vehicle without consent while he was sleeping.  The complainant stated that he had gone to bed at approximately 12:30 AM and noticed the vehicle was missing when he left to go to work at approximately 7:30 AM.

*11:13 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart, 401 W. Commerce, regarding theft/criminal trespass.  According to the report, a male subject allegedly walked out of Wal-Mart with what appeared to be a television or computer, and was walking toward Long John Silver’s.  The responding officer made contact with the male, later identified as 40-year-old Paul Robert Price, who was found to be carrying a computer and two pillows.  Dispatch advised the officer that Price had an active criminal trespass warning against him for the property and Price was arrested and charged with theft of property with prior conviction enhanced and criminal trespass, according to the report.

*11:26 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Magnolia regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, eight of the batteries to his drills were stolen.  The complainant advised the burglary had taken place between July 19th and July 26th.

*3:11 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Avenue A regarding theft.    According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen all of his tools off of his front porch.

*6:46 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 411 regarding the burglary of a travel trailer.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had not been at the property where he keeps the travel trailer since February 1, 2013 and returned on July 26th to find that the door had been forced open; however nothing was reported to be disturbed or missing from the trailer.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 279 for defective equipment, as the vehicle did not have a working license plate light.  Contact was made with the driver, 37-year-old Ashley Monique Pruett (AKA Ashley Montemayor), and during a consensual search of the vehicle, a small baggie containing a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine was located inside Montemayor’s purse, the report states.  Montemayor was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Terry Len Beason on an indictment for driving while intoxicated 3rd.

*Bangs Police arrested 35-year-old Tracy Renee Bishop on indictments related to failure to appear/tampering with/fabricating evidence and failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Megan Lajean George of Early for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 200 grams less than 400 grams and tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair.  George was being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $85,000 as of Monday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Michael Keith Hickerson on a warrant for theft less than 10 head of livestock less than $20,000.

*Bangs Police arrested 30-year-old Jason Kyle Watkins for hinder apprehension or prosecution of known felon.

Saturday, July 27

*3:57 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, loss prevention employees had a male suspect detained, who had admitted to stealing $39.88 of merchandise.  The suspect was issued a citation for theft less than $50, the report states.

*5:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 10th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that overnight someone had broken into the vehicle and taken several items including $420 in cash.

*5:44 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft.

*7:09 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault.    According to the report, the complainant stated that her soon-to-be ex-husband had assaulted her the previous Sunday, July 21st at her residence in Blanket.  The complainant stated that the suspect had grabbed her with both hands and shook her causing her pain and bruising, the report states.

*8:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 33-year-old Mary Elizabeth Reid for assault family violence.

Sunday, July 28

*2:29 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, a male entered the convenience store and left with a 30-pack of beer without paying.  No suspect was located at the time of the report.

*7:28 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 6th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  After an investigation, 31-year-old Joe Dell Knowles was arrested for assault with bodily injury to a child/elderly/disabled, assault causes bodily injury family violence, and violation of a protective order.

*11:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of C. C. Woodson Road regarding a reckless driver.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 21-year-old Keith Glenn Driskill of May, stated that he had been drinking at a friend’s house prior to being contacted by officers.  After failing field sobriety tests, Driskill was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood specimen.  Driskill was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Monday, July 29

*6:00 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 100 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding failure to stop at a stop sign.  According to the report, the stop led to the arrest of two individuals for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

*Brownwood Police arrested Timothy James Ingram on a warrant related to assault with bodily injury family violence.

*Early Police arrested 33-year-old David Streety for driving while license invalid.
