Wednesday, July 23

*3:14 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Prater and Vincent Streets regarding a reckless driver.   According to the report, a female in a Jeep was chasing a male in an SUV.  The incident was documented and Child Protective Services was contacted regarding the incident, the report states.

Friday, July 25

*7:31 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Fisk Street regarding the burglary of a building during the overnight hours.

*8:00 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3200 block of Milam Drive, the Brownwood Aquatic Center, regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the concession booth had been broken into overnight.  According to police, only damage caused by the suspect making entry was reported.

*8:03 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had punctured a plastic window on her vehicle.

*8:20 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of LaMonte Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the victim stated that that a relative had choked and slammed her head into a bedroom wall.  The complainant had injuries consistent with her statements which led to the arrest of 41-year-old George Lundy of Brownwood for assault family violence strangulation.

*2:18 PM – Brownwood Police flagged down in the 800 block of 1st Street regarding a hit and run accident.  The incident is being investigated, the report states.

*3:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Vine Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect disconnected the fuel line to her vehicle.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 20-year-old Dalton Allen Freeman of Bangs on a Mills County warrant related to duty striking fixture.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Eric Lynn Jones of Brownwood on a warrant related to delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.  Jones is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Bridget King of San Angelo on a warrant related to engaging in organized criminal activity.

Saturday, July 26

*4:54 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on Englewood Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known subject had come onto the property and damaged one of his gates, which will require approximately $50 of repairs.  The deputy contacted the suspect and warned him to leave the complainant’s property alone, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Amber Rene Barrow of Brownwood for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jonathan Wesley Branscum of Bangs on warrants related to driving while license invalid and violate promise to appear.

*Early Police arrested 35-year-old Justin Travis Eoff of Early for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Texas Parks and Wildlife arrested 25-year-old Brandon James Leal on a Menard County warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of marijuana.

Sunday, July 27

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Kenneth Wayne Baker of Brownwood on warrants related to engage in organized criminal activity and possession of a controlled substance as well as a surety withdrawal related to possession of marijuana.  Baker is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $31,500.

*8:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a juvenile female was arrested for theft greater than $50 less than $500.  Items stolen included cosmetics, personal hygiene products and clothing items, the report states.

*8:32 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2400 block of 13th Street regarding a juvenile problem.

*11:19 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Avenue E regarding a loud party.  According to the report, responding officers arrived and noticed drug paraphernalia inside the residence.  A search of the residence was conducted; however, nothing other than a large amount of marijuana related paraphernalia.  The subject was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 56-year-old Jerry Lahn Whatley, Jr. for driving while intoxicated/open container.

Sunday, July 27

*7:32 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Melwood Street and W. Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the suspect vehicle had left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival. The utility pole had been struck hard enough to break it in half according to the report.  Oncor was contacted to repair the pole.

*8:03 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the owner stated that someone had burglarized  his office and a currency validator machine.

*8:50 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, a tire on the complainant’s vehicle had been “slashed” and a suspect was named.

*12:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4600 block of Delwood Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complaint stated that her adult step-daughter had slapped her arm during an argument.

*5:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4300 block of Brookdale Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a male and a female subject were found to have assaulted each other after an argument.  The incident was documented, according to police.

*Brownwood Police arrested 38-year-old Fernando Aguirre Narvaez of Brownwood on a warrant related to child support enforcement.
