Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, July 28, 2011.

*10:27am-Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of Milam Drive regarding criminal mischief at the Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center.  The reporting party stated between 9:00pm on July 26th and 7:00am on July 27th, someone entered the aquatic center causing some damage.  The reporting party explained that suspects dumped numerous trash cans and tore a sign on the south fence.  According to the report, the suspects also dumped approximately two gallons of used cooking oil on the concrete floor at the nearby sports complex. 

*12:01pm-Brownwood Police responded to a local business in the 2200 block of Belle Plain regarding drugs/narcotics.  During the investigation, a small quantity of marijuana was seized.  Three suspects have been identified.  The investigation is ongoing and arrests are expected at its conclusion.

*1:33pm-Brownwood police were dispatched to a restaurant in the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft of services.  Officers spoke to employees and it was determined that a complaint would need to be filed through municipal court.

*2:57pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce, Ace America’s Cash Express, regarding fraud.  A letter and money order a customer was trying to cash was determined to be fraudulent.  Both were placed in evidence at Brownwood Police Department.

*3:14pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Elizabeth regarding criminal mischief.  The complainant stated that between 3:30pm on July 25th and 6:45am on July 27th, his vehicle was “keyed.”

*5:52pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue J regarding the theft of a bicycle.  No suspects were identified at this time.

*Brownwood Police responded to a possible suicidal subject in the 2000 block of 7th Street.  Officers were able to secure the subject; however, when loading the man into the ambulance, he spat in the officer’s face.  The subject was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for an evaluation by MHMR.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on County Road 411 where illegal dumping was reported.  According to the deputy, it appeared that someone had been dumping household trash in the rooms of an abandoned home which was in very poor condition and overgrown.  Two rooms were half filled with the trash according to the report.  The owner of record is deceased and the identity of the actual owner is unknown at this time.  A suspect has been named and the investigation is ongoing.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
