Tuesday, July 20
*At 10:56am, Brownwood Police responded to the 4400 block of Rosewood to a report of a burglary of a vehicle. No suspect information was available and the investigation is ongoing.
Friday, July 23
*At 8:25am, Brownwood Police responded to a report of stolen money in the 1600 block of Calvert. According to the report, officers interviewed the complainant who provided suspect information. The investigation is ongoing.
*At 11:11am, a Brownwood Police officer responded to the 900 block of Roanoke in reference to a burglary of a habitation. The officer arrived and spoke with the complainant who provided suspect information the report states. Investigation is ongoing.*At 12:50pm, Brownwood Police received a report of criminal mischief in the 300 block of W. Baker. The investigation is ongoing.
*At 1:08 pm, a Brownwood Police officer met with a complainant at the Brownwood Police Department regarding a report of a burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that a cell phone had been taken from the vehicle while he was in a convenience store.
*At 5:59pm, Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to police reports an officer met with the loss prevention officers and was told that a subject had shoplifted an A/C adaptor. According to the report the male subject was then issued a citation for theft <$50 and then released from the scene. The stolen items were recovered and released back from the store the report states.
*At 7:40pm Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce in reference to theft. According to the report, the officer met with the loss prevention officers and was told that known suspects had shoplifted several store items (which were valued at $264.72) from the electronics department. Dispatch advised that the female had a previous theft conviction and the male had previously been issued a trespass warning for Wal-Mart Stores on Dec. 23, 2006 the report states. Officers arrested 20-year-old Danielle Wells for theft >$50$50<$500 and Criminal Trespassing. The stolen items were released back to the store.
*At 10:33pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Cordell regarding a dog bite. According to the report, the man was feeding his roommate’s dog when another dog came from behind him biting him on the right calf. The dog’s owner is unknown; however, a report was filed in case the situation escalates.
Saturday, July 24
*At 12:17am, a Brownwood Police officer noted two vehicles racing. According to the report, both vehicles were able to be stopped and subsequently both drivers, identified as 19-year-old James Derek Ferguson of Coleman and 18-year-old Camon Kirk Seider, were arrested for Racing on Highway.
*At approximately 8:30am, a Brownwood Police officer was called to the 500 block of W. Commerce. According to the report, the manager of the restaurant reported damaged drywall that had occurred between the hours of 11:30pm on July 23rd and 8:30am on July 24th.
*At 8:59am, Brownwood Police responded to the 4200 block of 4th Street regarding a stolen lawn mower. No suspect information was available. The investigation is ongoing.
*At 3:29pm, a Brownwood Police officer was called to the 500 block of E. Commerce to a local motel in regards to a report of disorderly conduct. According to the report, management wished for a criminal trespass warning to be issued to the subject. The criminal trespass warning was issued and the subject left without further incident the report states.
*Approximately 8:07pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce in regards to theft. An investigation led to the issuing of a citation to a juvenile for Class C Theft. Items stolen included fake eyelashes, makeup, lip balm, an eyelash curler, fake fingernails, fingernail glue and condoms the report states.
*Brownwood Police received a report of a burglary of a storage building. According to the report, upon further investigation it was determined that the key had been lost and access was gained by an unknown subject between the dates of January 6, 2010 and July 7, 2010.
*At 9:38pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce to an alleged kidnapping. According to the report, upon arrival the officer spoke with several witnesses and it was determined that a male subject, identified as 27-year old Jeremy Ramirez of Odessa, was arrested for Unlawful Restraint.
Sunday, July 25
*At 1:19am, a Brownwood Police officer observed a male urinating in a parking lot in the 900 block of Riverside Drive. Police reports indicate the officer spoke with the male and found him to be intoxicated. Subsequently, the male, identified as Archie Carl Hamilton, Jr. was arrested for Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.
*At 3:58am Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Vine where it was reported that two males were fighting in the street. According to the report, subjects were identified as 19-year-old Anthony James Garcia, Jr. and 37-year-old Anthony James Garcia, Sr. of Austin. Both subjects were determined to be intoxicated the report states. Both were arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.
*At 5:39am, Brownwood Police responded to a report of a found wallet in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Contact with the owner could not be made so the wallet was placed in the found property at the Brownwood Police Department according to the report.
*At 3:59pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a shoplifter. According to the report an investigation was completed and a subject, identified as 18-year-old Eilaura Monique Ortega-Smith, was consequently arrested for theft.
*At 7:10pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a possible theft. Police reports state that the complainant reported that her purse had been stolen while she was shopping in Wal-Mart. The complainant’s wallet was later located at the Dollar General store in Bangs.
*At 10:17pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce to issue a criminal trespass warning to a male subject that works at the business. According to the report, he was not on duty, so the criminal trespass warning was not able to be issued.
Monday, July 26
*At 12:17am Brownwood Police officer was called to a report of criminal mischief. When he arrived in the area, 12th Street and Avenue B, he located two subjects. According to police reports, one subject fled after being detained, which led to a foot pursuit and the officer was able to catch him. Investigation revealed that the subject that fled was the suspect in the criminal mischief the report states. He was then arrested for Criminal Mischief >$500<$5000 and Evading Arrest/Detention.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Jason Michael Covault for Possession of Marijuana <2oz.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Erin Lynelle Nelson for Possession of Marijuana <2oz and Theft of Property.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Matthew Adam Stuart of Cut Bank, MT for Driving While Intoxicated.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
