Monday, July 22
*3:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the right rear corner of the complainant’s vehicle was damaged during the incident.
*5:37 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3000 block of Avenue D regarding theft. According to the report, officers spoke to the complainant who advised he had observed Lee Hartzell and a juvenile stealing galvanized piping from the property. 56-year-old Hartzell was arrested and charged with theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*6:08 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Coleman Street regarding theft. According to the report, a Ranch Hand grill guard had been stolen from the yard of the residence. A suspect was named and the incident is under investigation.
*11:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Belle Plain, Dan’s Tire Shop, regarding a burglary in progress. According to the report, dispatch advised officers that two subjects were breaking into a building. Upon arrival, one officer located three suspects that were arrested and charged with the criminal offense of engaging in organized criminal activity (burglary of a building). The suspects were identified as 28-year-old Roger Ray Powers, 31-year-old Charles Leonard Sallee and 24-year-old Lindsey Michelle Brown. All were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity.*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Joshua James Burch on a warrant for a probation violation.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Adrian Seth Finch on warrants related to violate promise to appear and fail to report change of address.
*38-year-old Cynthia Christine Garcia turned herself in on a warrant for theft of property.
*Bangs Police arrested 27-year-old Elpidio Martinez of Brownwood for driving while license invalid.
Tuesday, July 23
*Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Fredrick Wayne Benson on an Eastland County warrant related to criminal trespass and a Brown County indictment for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
