Thursday, July 18

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft of copper tubing, electrical wire and tools from a home on Englewood.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been working on the house and had locked it and the gate on the road when he left Wednesday evening.  He returned the next day to find that a window had been broken, all of the doors were standing open, and items were missing from the property, the report states.

Friday, July 19

*6:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Cordell Street regarding an animal bite.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he was walking to the community mailbox when his neighbor’s dog ran off the front porch and bit him on the thumb and attempted to bite his leg.

*1:14 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Coggin Avenue.   According to the report, the front passenger of the vehicle, identified as 20-year-old John Andrew Bright, was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*3:07 PM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that during the night, an unknown suspect walked onto his property and stole several items from his backyard.

*4:45 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he saw a male subject leave the store without paying for items.  The calling party, an employee, detained the suspect and contacted police, the report states.  After the officer’s investigation, the suspect stated that he needed to use the restroom.  The employee escorted the suspect to the restroom and on their return; the suspect fled the scene on foot.  The suspect was not apprehended at the time of the report.

*8:04 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Belle Plain after the officer saw the vehicle change lanes from left turn to right turn lane while crossing the solid white line that separates the two lanes.  This stop led to the arrest of 35-year-old Harold Lee Brown and 33-year-old Michael David Steel for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2A less than 2 ounces.

*10:10 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, dispatch advised officers that a male subject was hitting and shoving a female subject.  This call led to the arrest of 53-year-old Phillip Sidney Harling for assault with injury family violence by strangulation.

*27-year-old Heather L. Delisle of Bangs turned herself in on a warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500.

*Brownwood Police arrested 55-year-old Timmy Denbow on a warrant related to a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Paula Renee Foytik on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Ricky Dean Reed of Blanket for disregard stop sign.

*Travis Sloan Shaw turned himself in on a warrant related to an indictment for failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance.

*Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a domestic disturbance on County road 309.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 34-year-old Dustin Shane White of Santa Anna for assault family violence by impeding breathing.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for defective equipment.  According to the report, during the stop 19-year-old Julian Lars Young of Elgin and 19-year-old Juliana Olaia Rangel of Elgin were found to be in possession of marijuana.  Both were arrested and charged for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Saturday, July 20

*2:32 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 100 block of W. Austin Avenue regarding speeding.  According to the report, the vehicle was traveling 47 mph in a 40 mph zone.  After an investigation, an occupant was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*2:39 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the call led to the arrest of 33-year-old Jason Guerrero for public intoxication.  Guerrero was also issued a criminal trespass warning for the property.

*9:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Belmeade regarding criminal mischief.    According to the report, the complainant stated that he had heard a noise around midnight and found damage to his window when he got up.

*10:09 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 3rd Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant’s wallet along with an ID card and debit card were stolen.

*10:36 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Coggin Avenue regarding assault-offensive touch.  According to the report, the complainant advised that she was verbally assaulted by a known suspect who also touched her without consent at a yard sale.

*10:36 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Temple Avenue regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant had gone to retrieve some items from his stepson’s home, when he was attacked by three suspects.  In addition to assaulting the complainant, the suspects also broke into his vehicle and stole two items, the report states.  The complainant was able to provide enough information about the suspects to determine the identity of all three, according to the report.

*11:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of LaMonte Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 27-year-old Uriel Stephen Ramirez for assault with injury strangulation family violence.

*1:12 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, Wal-Mart asset protection employees had a juvenile suspect detained and a second adult female had fled the store prior to the officer’s arrival.  This subject and an additional third suspect were identified and the stolen merchandise was returned to Wal-Mart, the report states.

*4:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Belmeade regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her son’s black Mongoose bicycle was stolen from the front yard of the residence sometime after Thursday.

*4:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Coggin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, several windows were broken out of the complainant’s daughter’s house.

*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Ashley Kasandra Pruitt on a probation violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on a vehicle for crossing the white line.  After an investigation and a search of the vehicle, the deputy arrested 25-year-old Tiffany Ann Squyres for possession of a controlled substance penalty grade 4 less than 28 grams.

*Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made contact with a parked vehicle on county roads 237 and 233.  During the course of the stop, 19-year-old Miranda Elizabeth Elizondo and 19-year-old Payton Logan Kellar of Brady were found to be in possession of marijuana, the report states.  Kellar claimed ownership to a baggie that weighed 4.3 grams with packaging and Elizondo claimed a baggie that weighed 1.1 grams with packaging.  Both were arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Sunday, July 21

*12:11 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 700 block of Prater Street after observing the male walking on the wrong side of the road.  The male was walking with traffic instead of toward oncoming traffic, the report states.  As a result of the stop, the pedestrian was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*12:17 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue A regarding a suspicious call.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the lights to her son’s house were on and were not supposed to be.  This call led to the arrest of a male juvenile for criminal mischief, the report states.

*9:22 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Yale Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his 2-gallon fuel container was stolen.  The complainant was unable to identify any suspects however he would like to pursue charges if the suspect is identified, the report states.  The value of the stolen fuel canister and its contents is estimated at $17.00.

*9:39 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he discovered that an unknown subject had broken into the building and stole four tires.

*8:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 1st Street and Avenue K regarding a citizen’s dispute/disorderly conduct.  As a result of the call, 23-year-old Justin Lee Vedrode was arrested for disorderly conduct.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Christopher Ray Delarosa of Goldthwaite for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, abandon/endanger child, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Kirstie Lynn Pritchard of Goldthwaite for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Sheila Michele Sloan for driving while license invalid/failure to maintain financial responsibility.

Monday, July 22

*12:19 AM – Brownwood Police conducted a driving while intoxicated investigation following a deputy’s traffic stop in the 500 block of E. Commerce.  According to the report, the suspect was involved in an alleged hit and run accident.  After an investigation, the driver, identified as 50-year-old Karen Leigh Dempsey was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.  * CLARIFICATION:  The Karen Leigh Dempsey listed in this blotter not Karen Dempsey who is employed at Brownwood ISD.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Michaela Faith Blanton of Early for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Chelsea Marie Ellis of Stephenville for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
