Wednesday, July 16

*11:19 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the Budget Inn, located in the 500 block of E. Commerce, regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her mother had stolen her medication.

*11:20 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant reported, via phone call, that a known suspect had stolen tools out of his truck overnight.

*2:02 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with two complainants who reported both of their homes had been broken into by a known suspect and that they wished to pursue criminal charges.

Thursday, July 17

*8:35 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center who stated that he had been threatened, via phone, by a known suspect.  According to the report, the deputy listened to a voicemail and viewed a text message which had been sent by the named suspect.  A report was made to document the threats, the report states.

*2:00 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the theft of a license plate from a boat trailer which had been parked in the 100 block of David Street at Lake Brownwood.  The license plate information was taken and a report was made, according to the deputy.

Friday, July 18

*9:08 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Chestnut Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, several window screens as well as the screen on the back door of the residence were cut.  There were no known suspects at the time of the report, according to police.

*12:13 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 32-year-old Jose Antonio Carrizales, Jr. for theft greater than $50 less than $500.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 24-year-old Breanne Nicholle Jones of Brownwood on warrants related to no driver’s license, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Shanese Kirven of Coleman for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Kenta Kinchion Stepney of Bangs on warrants related to no driver’s license, violate promise to appear, no driver’s license and failure to appear – class C offense.

Saturday, July 19

*8:37 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 564 regarding a burglary.  According to the report, the complainant stated someone had entered his storage building, located on the property, and taken property from it without his permission.

*1:40 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the intersection of County Roads 151 and 152 regarding animal cruelty.  According to the report, dispatch advised there was a white horse in the pasture which appeared to be starving and something had been eating it.

*2:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, three suspects stole merchandise and the investigation is ongoing.

*4:28 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding forgery.  According to the report, the complainant identified his mother as the victim and said that $8,000 – $12,000 had been drained from her account using forged checks. A suspect has been identified according to the report.

*4:42 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was made aware of a 2-piece sofa that had been dumped on the side of the road in two different locations.  One part of the sofa was located on Hwy 279 near County Road 206 and the other half of the sofa was located in front of a residence further down the highway.  There were no witnesses to the dumping nor are there any suspects at this time, the report states.

*6:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Center Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, $150 had been stolen from a wallet.  A suspect had been named and the complainant wished to pursue criminal charges, the report states.

*11:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched a residence on 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her brother-in-law struck her over the head with a stick.  A report was filed at the complainant’s request, according to police.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Frederick Lee Hemphill of Coleman on warrants related to driving while license invalid, failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to appear.

*Early Police arrested 32-year-old Joe Dell Knowles of Brownwood on charges of assault causes bodily injury family violence, violate protective order, and on warrants of surety withdrawals related to injury to a child/elderly with intentional bodily injury, assault causes bodily injury and two counts violate protective order.  Knowles was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $60,000 as of Monday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Darryan Alexandria Solis of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and endanger child, along with warrants related to driving while license invalid and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested Pedro Solis for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Sunday, July 20

*12:45 AM – Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant by phone regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant advised that the father of her child had pushed her and strangled her during an argument, and had also endangered their child during the altercation.  The victim had left the residence as was at a location out of the city limits at the time of the call, the report states.  A report for assault family violence by strangulation and endangering a child was made on the victim’s behalf according to police.

*11:36 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue W regarding an animal complaint.  According to the report, a dog was running loose in the area, which resulted in the owner of the dog being issued a citation for dog at large.

*12:20 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Donegal Drive near Lake Brownwood regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had entered his open garage which is attached to the residence and stole an air compressor.  The theft was believed to have occurred during a timeframe when his wife and children were at home, the report states.

*4:40 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a male and female attempted to steal some items.  The license plate number of the suspect vehicle was provided to the officer upon arrival, according to police.  A suspect has been name and the case is ongoing, the report states.

*9:11 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on County Road 605 regarding a possible physical domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a caller stated that she had heard a male and female arguing and that the female was on the male’s back, and the male had threatened to kill the female.  Upon the deputy’s arrival to the residence he could hear a female screaming “get off of me” and crying out in pain, the report states.  Believing the female was being assaulted, the deputy entered the residence and found a male identified as 26-year-old Christopher Dale Blake of Brownwood kneeling over the victim and striking her with his fists, according to the report.  The deputy ordered Blake to stop, which he immediately complied.  The deputy observed facial injuries to the female and arrested Blake on charges of assault with injury family violence.

*11:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Redbird Drive regarding a civil matter.  After speaking with the complainant, two family members were issued trespass warnings for the residence, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old Christopher Baker of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 30-year-old Samuel Lovan Crosby of Copperas Cove on a Coryell County warrant related to motion to revoke.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 28-year-old Marcus Vaughn Furr of Killeen for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Christopher Keith Gober of Bangs for driving while intoxicated.

*Early Police arrested 25-year-old Enrique Guadalupe Ortega III on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft of service greater than $500 less than $1500.
