Tuesday, July 19

*5:00pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of W. Commerce, to a local check cashing company, where a customer had attempted to cash a fraudulent check.  According to the report, the employee had called to verify a check and was informed that the bank had not issued a check for the amount or with that check number.  Investigation determined that the individual who had attempted to pass the check had received it along with a letter and believed it to be genuine.

Wednesday, July 20

*7:50pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Irma regarding a runaway juvenile who was located and walked back to her home.  According to the report, an investigation showed that the juvenile had threatened her two siblings with a knife prior to leaving the residence.  The juvenile was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and taken to the juvenile detention center.

*8:24am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop which led to the arrest of the driver, 24-year-old Marcus Daniel Gray for Driving While License Suspended.

*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Natasha Monique Feltner after a Child Protective Services inspection of her home located marijuana in her residence.  Narcotics investigators from Brownwood Police Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Office further searched the residence finding more marijuana and prescription medication for which Feltner did not have a prescription according to police officials.  Feltner was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 3 less than 28g and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

Thursday, July 21

*12:19am-Brownwood Police responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance in the area of 4th Street and Avenue H.  Initial reports indicated that several subjects were fighting near the alleyway at the above location.  According to the report, the responding officers observed a male subject who was possibly a subject in the fight who became belligerent, was cursing and pulled away from officers when he was being questioned.  The officer soon “gained control” of the man, identified as 17-year-old Dustin Glen Madrid, and he was taken into custody for resisting arrest, search or transport.

*4:38am-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding criminal mischief.  The manager of the apartments advised the officer that a washing machine had been damaged.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
