Saturday, July 9

*11:54am-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Parkview Terrace regarding theft equal to or greater than $20,000, less than $100,000.  The homeowner reported that she had an indoor garage sale on July 8th and during the garage sale, she believed two suspects stole numerous items of jewelry.  Items stolen included a 14K gold chain with 8mm gold beads; 2 gold wedding set with diamonds; a gold solitaire diamond engagement ring; a men’s gold wedding band; an Eastern Star right with ruby, sapphire, emerald and diamonds; a gold cameo ring; a gold chain with 6 real pearls and a men’s coral and turquoise watch band.  No arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Monday, July 18

*2:44pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a scam.  The complainant reported that she had received six fraudulent USPS money orders from Perfect Choice LTD for mystery shopping.  She explained that she had cashed two of the money orders at her personal bank, which totaled $1930.90, not knowing that they were “fakes”.

*2:58pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft in the 3700 block of US Hwy 377S.  The complainant stated that someone stole items from the back door of his business.  The items stolen were sold.  No arrest had been made at the time of the report; however an investigation is ongoing.

*5:06pm-Brownwood Police were called to a hit and run in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  The complainant stated that her 2003 Cadillac Escalade was struck by an unknown person while it was parked and left unattended.  The suspect did not leave any information as required by law for striking the vehicle.

Tuesday, July 19

*9:37pm-Two Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue A regarding drugs/narcotics use in the storage building behind the complainant’s residence.  Upon officers arrival they saw a man and woman smoking marijuana.  According to the report, all at the residence were identified, one of which was given a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.  Another person present, 18-year-old Tasia Webb, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz and also given a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*Early Police arrested 33-year-old Kenneth Dan Flanagan for Public Intoxication.

Wednesday, July 20

*2:20am-Brownwood Police responded to an alarm call with three front glass breakages at a business in the 500 block of N. Center Avenue.  The officers arrived to find the front window broken by a rock and other windows with several BB holes in them.  The owner estimated damages at $500 and wished to pursue charges if a suspect could be identified.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
