Monday, July 19
*At 8:28, Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Vincent regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the officer noted signs of criminal mischief. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*At 10:58, Brownwood Police were called to the report of an assault in the 1700 block of 11th Street. According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 26-year-old Albert Salazar for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.
*Shortly before 10:30am, a Brownwood Police officer was called to the 700 block of Avenue D. An abandoned bicycle had been found. The officer checked the bicycle to see if it had been reported as stolen (which it was not) and then placed it into the Brownwood PD impound as found property. The owner may claim the bicycle at the Brownwood Police Department with proper identification of the bicycle.
*At 11:10am, according to Brownwood Police Department, a complainant came to the Law Enforcement Center to report that his credit/debit card had been stolen and that numerous unauthorized purchases from businesses and withdrawals from ATMs had been made. The investigation is ongoing.
*At 3:18pm, Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft in the 1300 block of Austin Avenue. According to the report, an officer spoke with the reporting party who stated that an item had been stolen from the store, but recovered. The store wishes to pursue charges the report states. Suspect information and a statement of facts have been obtained.
Tuesday, July 20
*Approximately 12:13am, a Brownwood Police officer noted a man walking along and even stumbling very near to the heavily used lane of traffic on Austin Avenue. According to the report, the officer made contact with the male, identified as 48-year-old Steven Corona, and observed several signs which indicated that he was intoxicated. Corona was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
