Wednesday, July 1
*3:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Durham regarding the theft of a firearm.
*Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 189 regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, someone had broken into the complainant’s gate and storage buildings, stealing items from the property.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received report at the law enforcement center regarding the theft of several firearms from a complainant’s pickup truck.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old David Munoz Gomez of Brownwood on a warrant related to the sexual assault of a child.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 28-year-old Chad Hallum of Brownwood on two counts of indecency with a child and two counts of aggravated sexual assault. Hallum was released on $30,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Dustin Ray Lawson of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20,000 less than $100,000 enhanced/previous conviction. Lawson was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 as of Thursday morning.*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Juan Robles of Brownwood on a warrant related to the burglary of a habitation. Robles was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond as of Thursday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Benjamen Ward Smith of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of firearm.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Brandyn Spears of Brownwood on warrants related to manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance not in penalty group in a drug free zone and on surety withdrawals related to interfere with child custody and resist arrest search or transport.
Thursday, July 2
*12:31 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1600 block of 2nd Street. This stop led to the arrest of 25-year-old Marcus McQuade Burnett of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Brittany Pence of Brownwood on warrants related to speeding 84 mph in a 75 mph zone and violate promise to appear.
