Law enforcement reports and arrests released July 18, 2011.
Friday, July 15
*4:51pm-A Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Hall Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between 6:00pm July 7th and 9:30am July 12th an unknown person(s) stole a refrigerator from the residence she was renting.
*4:23pm-Brownwood Police responded to the Kroger parking lot at 302 N. Main regarding a person leaving the scene of an accident. The victim reported that someone or something had damaged the rear bumper of her 2011 Toyota Corolla and that if a suspect could be identified, she wanted to pursue charges.
*7:26pm-A Brownwood Police officer was contacted by a complainant who advised that she had left her purse in a basket at Wal-Mart. The purse had been located and turned in by the greeter, the report states. During the initial check of the purse, the complainant did not notice anything missing; however when she got home, she realized that a bank envelope containing between $50-80 was missing, according to the report.
Saturday, July 16
*2:01am-A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling the area of 2100 Slayden when he heard a noise coming from Brownwood High School. He began patrolling on foot and noticed three teenagers near the old gym of the high school attempting to help a third teenage boy come down from the roof of the school. According to the report, the three boys explained to the officer that they were playing football when it was accidentally kicked onto the roof and that they were trying to get the ball off of the roof. The key holder requested that Criminal Trespass Warnings be issued to the three teens, who were then released to their guardians after the warnings were issued.
*4:56am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on the corner of 1st Street and Lackey. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as 25-year-old Dorinda Soliz, it was determined that she had been drinking, the report states. Soliz was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
*8:56am-Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of E. Mayes to the Burglary of a Building. Fingerprints were located at the scene and surveillance video from a nearby business is being reviewed, according to police. Charges are being pursued and the investigation is ongoing.
*12:20am-A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol and stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at 600 N. Fisk Avenue. According to the report, investigation showed that the driver, 23-year-old Joseph Dwayne Snyder of Zephyr was intoxicated. It was determined that Snyder had a previous conviction for Driving While Intoxication and was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated 2nd. The vehicle was released to a passenger.
*1:17pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the CVS Pharmacy in reference to criminal trespass. Dispatch advised officers that the manager advised that 43-year-old Rudolfo Reyna was standing in front of the store bothering customers, the report states. Reyna was placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass.
*2:00pm-A complainant came to the Law Enforcement Center to report the forgery of one of her checks in the 400 block of W. Commerce. The subject is known and charges are expected to be filed.
*3:42pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 2200 block of Coggin Avenue regarding theft. Further information led to the investigation of a stolen engagement ring valued at $2000.
*4:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of 1st Street in reference to a theft. The complainant stated that at approximately 5:00am; two known female suspects stole a television and a laptop computer from her residence, the report states.
*8:49pm-Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the violation of a protective order. According to the report, the victim informed the officer that she had received an email that was embarrassing to the victim.
*9:35pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective break light in the 4000 block of 4th Street. During the stop, the driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Richard Ribble, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and two previous convictions for driving under suspension the report states. Ribble was arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions.
*10:13pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue in reference to a disturbance in the parking lot of a convenience store. Upon the arrival of the officer saw three males standing in the parking lot and one male appeared to be getting ready to fight the other two the report states. The first male, identified as 32-year-old Ryan Joseph Corl, was extremely intoxicated according to police. While attempting to place him under arrest, Corl resisted aggressively, taking three officers to take him into custody. Corl was charged with Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Billy Shy Drew of Early for Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz.
* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 39-year-old Stephen Boyd Hamilton for Driving While Intoxicated.
Sunday, July 17
*1:07am-Upon Wal-Mart management request, a subject was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.
*11:24am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1900 block of Southside Drive for an unreadable license plate. During the stop, the driver, identified as 24-year-old Jorge Enrique Hernandez, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and a previous conviction for Driving While License Invalid (DWLI). Hernandez was placed under arrest for DWLI with Previous Convictions.
*3:19pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a hit and run. Communications advised the officer that a customer had struck a clerk in the leg with his vehicle then left the scene. Further investigation provided on scene led to the investigation of Assault causing bodily injury.
*3:27pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart where a female, identified as 17-year-old Jessica Ann Smith of Comanche, was being detained for shoplifting. According to the report, the officer was presented with numerous items that had been recovered from the woman’s purse and a bag after she had left the store without paying for the items. Smith was arrested for Theft Equal or Greater than $50 and less than $500 and the property was released back to the store.
*3:36am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding criminal mischief. Investigation determined that no damage was done to any property the report states. However, the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Natasha Feltner, was found to be extremely intoxicated according to police. Feltner was arrested for Public Intoxication.
*8:46pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a restaurant in the 1500 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding theft. The complainant indicated that two cooling system compressors for the restaurant’s walk-in freezer and cooler were taken from behind the business.
*10:57pm-A Brownwood Police officer on routine patrol stopped a vehicle in the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue for an improper use of horn. Investigation revealed that the driver, identified as 44-year-old Larry Darnell Gray had an invalid license for no insurance for which he was placed under arrest.
*Early Police arrested 20-year-old Christopher Paul Hoskins for Driving While Intoxicated after he drove through several yards damaging several fences according to EPD officials.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
