Friday, July 11
*12:34 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a burglary call at a residence on County Road 147 in Brownwood. According to the report, the home was cleared and the property owners were escorted inside and determined that nothing appeared to have been taken from the property. The residence did appear to be ransacked the report states. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
Monday, July 14
*12:29 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2500 block of Crocket Drive regarding a hit and run accident.
*4:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Hillcrest Circle regarding a burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the suspect had attempted to steal a television but left it in the driveway. A neighbor called and notified dispatch of the incident and an officer arrived and investigated the incident, the report states. Several drawers throughout the residence were open and items scattered around the residence, according to police. The resident had been out of town and had been advised of the burglary by his ex-wife after she had gone to the residence to pickup an item, the report states. Items taken from the residence included electronics, a lamp, ammunition, a window air conditioning unit and a GPS, which were valued over $7800.
*5:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, four unknown suspects stole two cases of Cokes from the sidewalk in front of the store. The investigation is ongoing.
*11:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of 4th Street, Food Plaza, regarding the theft of an 18-pack of beer valued at $10.49. According to the report, a store employee provided a description of the suspect and the store did wish to pursue criminal charges if the suspect can be identified.
Tuesday, July 15
*9:31 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on County Road 237 in Brownwood regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that her residence had been “egged” during the night.
*2:12 PM – A Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Brady Avenue regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, an unknown suspect entered the residence and removed property without the owner’s consent.
*3:03 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the Country Stop store located on Belle Plain Street in Brownwood regarding an incident of theft. According to the report, an employee reported a known subject had left the property without paying for her gas.
*8:49 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault. A suspect was named, located and arrested on unrelated warrants. The report and photos were taken and a family violence form was issued to the complainant, the report states. The investigation is ongoing.
*10:56 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that his ex-girlfriend refused to return his property.
*8:49 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s investigators received information on the whereabouts of a wanted person, Jonathan Vasquez, out of Tom Green County for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, bail jumping, and failure to appear burglary of a habitation. According to the report, deputies checked a local hotel for Vasquez; however, he was not there. Information was given that Vasquez was at the pool of the Camelot Apartment complex. The investigator went to the area of the apartments and saw a man matching Vasquez’s description walking in the area of 8th Street and Parkway, the report states. The man began to run on foot when he saw the patrol unit, according to the investigator’s report. A foot pursuit ensued and many other law enforcement officers assisted, a total of nine units were involved in the search for Vasquez, the report states. Approximately 10 minutes into the pursuit, Corporal Stephanie Morgan of the Brownwood Police Department was able to locate Vasquez hiding in a boat on a trailer located at the residence in the 2000 block of 8th Street the report states. Vasquez, who has an extensive criminal history, was arrested for the outstanding warrant and for evading arrest, according to the report.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 37-year-old Charles Art Bishop of Brownwood on a warrant related to expired vehicle inspection.
*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Adam Lewis Bolden of Brownwood for violation of bond/protective order and five surety withdrawals related to interfere with emergency call, violation of protective order, assault causes bodily injury family violence, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Early Police Department arrested 28-year-old Jose Luis Salas of Brady on warrants related to violate promise to appear, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and speeding 10% or more.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Andrew Robert Watkins of San Saba on a warrant for possession of marijuana.
Wednesday, July 16
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Ryan Patrick Hudnut and 24-year-old Barton Lazaro on charges of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 2 or 2-A equal or greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams and possession of marijuana greater than 5 pounds less than or equal to 50 pounds.
*Early Police Department arrested 43-year-old Brandi Stokes of Brownwood on charges of possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams and driving while intoxicated.
