Wednesday, July 10

*6:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of 1st Street regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between midnight on July 10th and 6:42 AM, someone stole their vehicle from in front of the complainant’s residence.   After entering the vehicle as a stolen vehicle, at approximately 9:30 AM, the vehicle was located, abandoned in Hill County, by Hill County Sheriff’s Office.

*12:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Slayden Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her son’s bicycle had been stolen.  The complainant stated that she had driven around the area where the bicycle was last seen.  A juvenile suspect had admitted to stealing the bicycle to the complainant prior to the officer’s arrival and was issued a citation for theft less than $50 according to the report.

*1:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of 11th Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her brother, 28-year-old Fletcher Liggin struck her in the face, knocking her out of the chair that she was sitting in.  Liggin was later located in the area of Austin Avenue and Avenue G and arrested for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

Thursday, July 11

*4:48 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, an employee at Coggin Elementary discovered an auditorium window broken.  The suspect(s) were unable to be located at the time of the report.

*8:44 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of US Hwy 377S regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male subject had rented a room on July 9th and upon vacating the room on July 10, allegedly stole several items from the room.  Stolen items included mattress pads, bath towels, a full size blanket, coffee maker, and hair dryer.

*1:07 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 3rd Street regarding identification theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he had an unauthorized purchase on his credit card.  The complainant wished to pursue charges, the report states.

*3:54 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of theft via telephone call.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her iPod Touch had been stolen and named a suspect.

*6:18 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center.  According to the report, the complainant stated that she received a bill from a cable company that she has never used.  The complainant stated that she called the cable company and was provided a service address in California, where she has never lived.

*8:15 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2700 block of Greenway Drive regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, the complainant stated that when she entered her vehicle this day, she realized someone had opened the glove box and center console.   A wallet containing miscellaneous paperwork and several coins was stolen from inside the vehicle, the report states.

*10:16 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of 6th Street regarding domestic disturbance.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 44-year-old James Charles Williams for assault with injury family violence.

*19-year-old Dustin Glynn Madrid turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/resist arrest.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 21-year-old Shantell Shawntae Morgan on a warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 24-year-old Samuel Sanchez II on warrants related to two counts of no driver’s license, open container-driver, and fail to maintain financial responsibility.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 60-year-old Charles David Croft on a warrant for motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated 2nd.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Michael Paul Forbess on warrants for tamper with evidence, unlawful possession of firearm, possession of a controlled substance, assault causes bodily injury family violence, possession of marijuana and for knowingly altered license plate.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Sammie Celes Foster on warrants related to possession of a controlled substance and tamper with evidence.

Friday, July 12

*Early Police arrested 37-year-old Kevin Dale Lee of Quanah for assault family violence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 42-year-old Stacy David Torres for driving while intoxicated.

* Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Melinda Kay Ford Crosby for abandon endanger child immediate danger and purchase furnish alcohol to a minor.
