Brownwood Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at Main Street and Austin Avenue Thursday which was later determined to be an incident of driving while intoxicated.
According to police, the driver of a white Chevrolet Caprice sedan was under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred. Witnesses on scene reported that the driver of the Caprice was traveling north on Main Street and failed to yield the right of way to a Chevrolet pickup which was traveling south. The Caprice, according to the witnesses, was turning left onto W. Austin Avenue when it collided with the pickup which had the right of way, according to the report.
The driver of the Caprice was transported by EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, the report states. The driver gave consent for a blood sample while at the hospital and the incident is under investigation and no arrest had been made at the time of the report, according to police.

*8:08 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of theft at a residence on near Lake Brownwood. According to the report, the complainant stated that approximately $75,600 in unidentified gold coins had been stolen from inside his home within the last two months. At the time of the report, there was no suspect information, the report states.Thursday, July 10
*8:43 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on County Road 569 regarding a domestic disturbance in progress. According to the report, the female half of the disturbance stated that her husband had threatened to harm her during a verbal argument and that she was in fear of her safety and well being. The suspect was not on scene when the deputy arrived, the report states.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to The Oaks Unit of G4S Youth Detention Center in reference to a report of child abuse. According to the report a complainant advised there were three juveniles at the facility stating that they had been abused, in separate instances, by two staff members.
*9:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Good Shepherd Drive regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant had been assaulted by one of his neighbors. The complainant refused medical treatment and a report was filed at his request, according to police.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of identity theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject had used her identifying information to open a Kohls charge account in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
*23-year-old Stephan Bielamowicz of Marlan, Texas was arrested on a Hays County warrant related to theft of property by check.
*21-year-old Taylor Paige Dodson of Coleman turned herself in on a warrant related to tamper/fabricate physical evidence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Michael Keith Hickerson of Brownwood on a warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
