Friday, June 28
*5:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Durham Avenue regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, between June 27th and 28th, an unknown subject damaged a back window of the residence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Stephanie Sue Barr of Zephyr on a warrant for motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Faustino Ray Ortega on an indictment related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Ortega is currently being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bond.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Jessie Gabriel Robles for manufacture/delivery controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
Saturday, June 29
*1:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Avenue A regarding theft.
*1:30 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was assaulted by a known suspect.
*1:44 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a male subject had kicked in a door and assaulted a female subject at the residence. After the incident was investigated, it was determined that the incident had occurred several hours prior to officers’ arrival to the scene, the report states.
*8:36 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Southside Drive regarding theft. According to the report, a City of Brownwood utility employee advised that the water meter to the residence had been disconnected; however, someone had reconnected the water supply, circumventing the City of Brownwood water meter.
*12:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of 7th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that she left her son’s vehicle in the driveway of another residence after a family violence incident. While it was parked there, an unknown person punctured four tires on the vehicle, the report states.
*3:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 3rd Street regarding a medical emergency. According to the report, the caller stated that her daughter had been injured while attempting to assault the caller and the caller’s common-law husband. The daughter, who was intoxicated, injured herself when she swung at her step-father, missed, lost her balance and fell face first on the caliche driveway.
*6:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, a male and female subject stole some items by passing all points of payment. If the subjects could be located, management wished criminal trespass warning issued to the subjects, the report states. Other officers located the male and female and after officers spoke with the suspects, the male suspect was placed under arrest. The male, identified as 32-year-old Alexis Rodriguez of Early was charged with theft equal or greater than $50 and less than $500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Debra Espitia for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old James Douglas Foster of Waxahachie on an indictment for theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Homero Richardo Hurtado of Coleman for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Dustin Lee McFarland on a warrant for tampering/fabricate physical evidence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Patricio Seballos of Coleman for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Terry Lynn Smith on five municipal warrants.
Sunday, June 30
*12:47 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2900 block of Avenue D regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, sometime between the hours of 10:00 PM on June 29th and 10:00 AM on June 30th, an unknown person damaged his living room window.
*1:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Lakeway and Dublin regarding an intoxicated female walking down the street. This call led to the arrest of the female, identified as 48-year-old Betty Jo Roe for public intoxication.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 28-year-old Jermey Justin Arrendondo for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/without financial responsibility.
*7:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Sycamore Street regarding an assault. According to Assistant Chief of Police James Fuller, a woman had been walking down the street, pushing her 2-year-old child in a wheelchair (the child was not disabled), and a vehicle occupied by three females pulled up to the woman. As the females exited the vehicle, they threw a Coke on the woman and then began fighting her, Fuller explained. During the altercation, the wheelchair was knocked over, injuring the child with scrapes and bruises, he stated. A report for assault with injury to a child was taken. No arrests had been made at the time of the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Joshua Mario Coleman of Snyder for driving while intoxicated.
*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Jessie Rodriguez of Mullin for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Monday, July 1
*12:24 AM – A Brownwood Police officer, while on patrol, observed a white pickup spinning its tires, then turning sideways in close proximity of other parked cars and subjects standing in the parking stalls in the 1100 block of Roselawn Drive. According to the report, the officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at Roselawn Avenue and Durham Avenue. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Tony Weston Norway, was arrested and charged with reckless driving.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old James Kristopher Simmons of Menard on a municipal warrant for failure to appear.
