Thursday, June 4
*4:00 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a sexual assault. According to the report, the incident is pending further investigation.
Friday, June 5
*9:32 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Hemphill Street regarding criminal mischief.
*9:42 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant about someone dumping their trash on his property. An investigation was conducted which discovered identifying information about a possible owner of the trash, the report states. The investigation is ongoing, according to the report.
*10:49 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in reference to theft. The complainant stated that someone had stolen some oil from a lease on County Road 134, which he has mineral rights to.
*2:58 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling north in the 8000 block of Highway 279. According to the report, the deputy observed nervous behavior which led to the request for consent to search the truck and the driver’s person. The driver, identified as 35-year-old Robert Shane Tredway of May, consented and a small green marijuana pipe containing about 0.1 grams of unused marijuana was located in his lower left side pocket, the report states. Tredway was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana
*6:30 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 475 regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that his wife had assaulted him Tuesday, June 2nd, after a verbal argument about a text on her phone and that she hit him several times in the face before leaving in her vehicle. The complainant stated that his wife also pointed a pistol at him through the vehicle window as she drove away from the residence, the report states.
*7:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding the theft of a cell phone.
*8:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the complainant stated that a vehicle had struck a parked car and that a female had fled on foot, running behind the apartments toward Belle Plain. This call led to the arrest of the woman, identified as 31-year-old Reba Buffington of Brownwood, for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more, duty on striking unattended vehicle greater than $200, and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
*11:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding an unwanted person at a local convenience store. After being warned several times to stay off of the store’s property, 55-year-old James Clement Dunn of Brownwood was arrested for trespassing, the report states.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 27-year-old Jessica Ray Medcalf of Brownwood on warrants related to inhale/ingest volatile chemical and theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Early Police arrested 36-year-old Daniel Matthew Simcox, Jr. of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Amber Leann Snider of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*The Brownwood City Marshall arrested 39-year-old Mindy Kay Thacker of Coleman on warrants related to failure to appear, no driver’s license, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and expired motor vehicle registration.
Saturday, June 6
*11:54 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying the wrong license plate. According to the report, the driver, identified as 33-year-old Jennifer Hope Gladman-Carnall of Lees Sumit, Missouri, was found to have a suspended Missouri driver’s license. Gladman was arrested and charged with no driver’s license and for displaying the wrong license plate. During an inventory of the vehicle, two baggies containing a crystalline substance, which appeared to be methamphetamine, were found in a glasses case along with a glass pipe with what appeared to be burnt methamphetamine residue, the report states. The crystalline substance in the baggies weighed 3.9 grams and 0.2 grams without packaging, according to the deputy’s report, the larger quantity field tested positive for methamphetamine. Two fraudulent Missouri driver’s licenses were also found in Gladman’s wallet. One of the licenses was a fake ID and the other was a copy of someone else’s license, from which the false ID had been made, the deputy explained in his report. Gladman was additionally charged with possession of controlled substance penalty group 1 equal to or greater than 4 grams under 200 grams and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, according to the report.
*3:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, numerous tools and weapons were stolen from the residence. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*3:05 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on County Road 235 regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative had been using her debit card information to purchase merchandise online.
*6:38 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Main Street regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the victim stated that when the accident occurred, the suspect driver asked to exchange information with the woman; however, when she told him that they needed to contact police, he fled the scene.
*10:05 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of N. Main Blvd. regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, after an extensive investigation, the driver of the suspect vehicle, identified as 52-year-old Mario Huerta Vasquez of Brownwood, was located and found to be intoxicated. Vasquez was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 24-year-old Carlton Arthur Brown of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 51-year-old Freddie Garcia for boating while intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police arrested 48-year-old Frederick William Holder of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 18-year-old Quinton Noel McKinnerny of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
*26-year-old Julia Olvera Vargas of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated with child.
Sunday, June 7
*12:32 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Coggin Avenue regarding defective equipment. According to the report, the driver of the vehicle admitted that he had been drinking, and he later failed several field sobriety tests. This stop led to the arrest of 36-year-old Adrian Galindo of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated with open container.
*6:45 AM – Brownwood Police officers, while working a security assignment in the 500 block of E. Baker Street, observed a male subject in his vehicle who had a bag of what appeared to be marijuana in plain view. According to the report, the male, identified as 19-year-old Zackary James Diaz of Coleman, was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and additional charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
*4:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 10th Street regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle.
*8:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of 4th Street regarding the theft of a bicycle and cart.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 50-year-old Alan Brent King of Bangs for boating while intoxicated.
*Bangs Police arrested 27-year-old Nichole Lee Mincher of San Angelo for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department arrested 28-year-old John Raymond Wilkerson of Brownwood on a parole violation.
Monday, June 8
*Early Police arrested 29-year-old Tamara Dawn Hopkins of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
