Saturday, June 2

*8:41pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of Melwood.  According to the report, information obtained from the driver showed that she had been assaulted the previous day at her residence.   The driver/victim didn’t want to file charges or require any medical attention; however, physical injury was present.

Wednesday, June 6

*12:10am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Monterrey regarding theft.   According to the report, a ring was reported stolen.  The ring was later found and determined that it was not stolen, the report states.

*5:07pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 1st Street regarding a juvenile problem.  According to the report, while en route to this location, the officer was advised that the juvenile had left the scene and called 911 from a residence in the 1200 block of Avenue G.  An investigation determined that family violence may have occurred.

Thursday, June 7

*9:52am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Durham regarding theft.  According to the report, a wrought iron patio table and a chair were taken from outside the residence.  A window was also found to have been broken in the guest house of the residence, the report states.

*12:03pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 4300 block of Brookdale Drive regarding a civil matter between a husband and wife.  According to the report, the wife stated that she had been a victim of assault family violence the day before.  A report to document the incident was made.

*3:53pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a civil standby.   According to the report, assault family violence had taken place.  The complainant stated that her mother was making her move out of the mother’s apartment and an argument occurred while she was removing her belongings.  At one point in the argument the complainant stated that she removed a picture of her son from her mother’s wall and her mother assaulted her, the report states.  As a result of this call, 35-year-old Christina Balleza was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.

*10:49pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding an intoxicated individual who was walking around causing problems.  According to the report, officers arrived and located 35-year-old Jesse Joe Martinez walking down the sidewalk and after speaking with him, it was determined that he was intoxicated, reports state.  Martinez was arrested for Public Intoxication.

*11:03pm-Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Brandon Thomas Brown for Driving While Intoxicated after a traffic stop, according to police reports.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to an address for possible animal cruelty.  According to the report, the deputy arrived at the address and located a dog chained up that looked like it was not under fed.  The owner was contacted and advised that an investigator may be in contact with her at a later date, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he sold two loads of trees to a subject from San Angelo and that the trees were paid with a check in the amount of $3515.00.  This check has been returned for insufficient funds and the complainant has been unable to collect his money, the report states.  According to the report, a second load of trees was sold for $3295, no payment was received for the second load making the total amount owed for the trees is $6810.00.

Friday, June 8

*1:36am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Brady Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that about 1:30am someone threw a rock through one of the complainant’s living room windows.  No suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*1:25pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Hackberry and Main Blvd regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, the complainant stated that there were at least eight people fighting in the street.  It was later determined that there was not a fight but that an unwanted subject had been chased away from a residence in the 1500 block of Main Blvd.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
