Monday, June 6
*3:15pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Avenue E regarding a burglary. During this investigation, the responding officer spoke to a witness who was believed to be under the influence of some type of narcotic. This caused the officer to start another investigation concerning her condition, the report states. As a result of this second investigation, the female witness was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, which included two marijuana pipes and a bong for smoking marijuana.
*4:28pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of 7th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that around 2:30am, he believed that someone had struck his front door with a bicycle and then fled. At 7:00am, the complainant found the bicycle laying on his front porch, the report states. The bicycle, a purple 12-speed, was taken to Brownwood Police Department for safe keeping until the owner can properly claim it.
*6:32pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Avenue E regarding a residence that had been damaged. According to the report, tin siding had been stolen off of the side of the trailer house along with copper tubing had been stolen from underneath the vacant residence. Suspects have been identified; however no arrests have been made. The complainant estimated the damages to the trailer to be approximately $7500.
Tuesday, June 7
*10:42am-A Brownwood Police officer met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center (LEC). According to the report, the complainant advised that she had been threatened that serious bodily injury would be done to her by a known subject and that she did wish to pursue charges.
*11:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue I. According to the report, the complainant was receiving harassing phone calls and text messages from her ex-boyfriend and she wished to pursue charges for harassment.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Harvil Hicks for Assault Family Violence Intimidation.
Wednesday, June 8
*1:59am-Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Center Avenue where another officer had located a motor vehicle accident. One vehicle was found on scene without its driver present according to the report. The driver, identified as 21-year-old Juan Alberto Zuniga, was determined to be intoxicated, the report states. Zuniga was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood draw.
