Law Enforcement reports and arrests released Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Thursday June 3
*Brownwood Police responded to a call regarding a citizen’s dispute in the parking lot of a bar in the 700 block of Melwood. Upon investigating, the officer found the situation to be people talking loudly to each other the police report states. During the investigation, officers discovered that one minor had been drinking alcohol. It was alleged by the minor that the bartender had served him alcohol. Police are investigating the situation, and charges of making alcohol available to a minor could be filed the report states. The investigation is ongoing and the report has been forwarded to Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission (TABC). The juvenile was released to the custody of his girlfriend, a sober adult.
Sunday June 6
*A noise nuisance complaint was reported to Brownwood Police by a victim who came into the Law Enforcement Center regarding the nuisance occurring in the 1700 block of Dublin in Brownwood.
*Brownwood Police responded to phone harassment reported by a resident in the 1700 block of Stewart.
Monday June 7
*During a routine traffic stop, an officer noted a possible intoxicated pedestrian walking along the 500 block of Main St. Police arrested 65-year-old Derril Jay Hobbs for Public Intoxication.
*In the 300 block of Market Place Blvd, 30-year-old Justin Paul Staton was stopped for disregarding a stop sign. The report states that while the officer verified his identity, it was learned that Staton had a suspended driver’s license and had 5 previous convictions for no insurance. Staton was then arrested by Brownwood Police Department for driving while license invalid and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Tuesday June 8
*19-year old Jimmy Lee Hallum was arrested by Brown County Sheriff’s Office for Criminal Mischief.
*19-year-old Robert Gray Hallum was arrested by Brown County Sheriff’s Office for Deadly Conduct.
*21-year-old Jacob Ryan Jeffrey of Early was arrested by Brown County Sheriff’s Office for Driving While Intoxicated.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
