After using the bathroom of his own home, a male was surprised to find two strangers in his apartment located on Savoy Drive around 1:20am on Sunday, June 5.  According to police, the victim reported a Hispanic male and a Hispanic female were in his apartment uninvited.  When he told them to leave, the male pulled a gun while the female robbed him of several hundred dollars and a prescription out of his wallet, the report states.  Brownwood Police report several witnesses have come forward validating the man’s account and a case of aggravated robbery is being actively investigated.

Friday, June 3

*10:44am-Brownwood Police received a report of found property.  According to the report, a black wallet and a blue and black ball cap was found in the middle of the roadway in the 1400 block of Avenue J.  Identification was found inside the wallet; however the owner was unable to be located and the wallet and ball cap were placed into evidence at BPD for safekeeping.

*2:21pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault.   According to the report, the assault occurred on June 2 at 10:00pm.  The victim stated she was struck across her face at least two times and threatened by her boyfriend with a pocket knife, the report states.  The investigation continues.

*2:32pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft less than $50.  A female subject was issued a citation for theft under $50.

*3:36pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a suspicious male who was lying on the ground.  According to the report, the responding officer made contact with the male, identified as 32-year-old Victor Hugo Rueda, Jr., who was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Public Intoxication.

*8:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce where a shoplifter was being detained by Wal-Mart loss prevention.  The suspect was identified and issued a citation for theft less than $50.

*10:22pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Golding Road where a complainant reported that an unknown person had damaged the rear driver’s side tire of her vehicle.  The incident was thought to have occurred around 8:00pm, the report states.

Saturday, June 4

*1:47am-Brownwood Police responded to a citizens’ dispute in the 1700 block of Stewart Street.  According to the report, the investigation determined that several subjects were assaulted and that a vehicle was damaged during the incident.  Suspects have been identified in connection with the incident and several charges have actively been filed according to police reports.

*11:02am-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft less than $50.  A female identified as 29-year-old Kimberly Ann Adkins was arrested for theft greater than $50, under $500, the report states.

*6:58pm-Brownwood Police received an anonymous tip regarding the names of suspects in a burglary of storage units located at 1616 Belle Plain which occurred during the night on June 2, 2011.  According to the report, victims were contacted and wish to pursue charges.

*7:06pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Durham Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone shot out the driver’s side window of her vehicle.

*9:19pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce where they received a report from a complainant that his common law wife had bit him in the chest area.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 39-year-old Misti Dawn Willborn Matthews for Driving While Intoxicated.

*Early Police Department arrested 47-year-old Jose Evarardo Nino for Driving While Intoxicated.

*Early Police Department arrested 30-year-old Alfredo Sanchez for Public Intoxication.

Sunday, June 5

*12:21am-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a residence on Roanoke Drive regarding deadly conduct.  According to the report, the suspect identified as 37-year-old Billy Stearns arrived at a residence talking on the phone with one of the victims, “cussing loudly” as he arrived on their property.  When asked to quiet down by one of the victims, Stearns then returned to his vehicle, retrieved a deer rifle, and pointed it at the female victim, the report states.  The male victim asked him to leave the property and Stearns left the property before the BCSO deputy arrived; however, Stearns was stopped by Brownwood Police in the 3500 block of Austin Avenue.  Police state that Stearns was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.    According to the report, the deputy who responded to the initial incident reported that the victims did wish to pursue charges against the subject and have a criminal trespass warning issued to him for their residence.  Stearns was additionally charged with Deadly Conduct.

*2:52am-Brownwood Police responded to an assault in the 1600 block of Melwood.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend was assaulting her current boyfriend.  The suspect fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Mark Justin James for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Monday, June 6

*7:21pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 700 block of Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a woman’s cell phone had been stolen while she visited the bar.

*8:57pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Truman Harlow overpass where a juvenile was reported to be attempting to jump in an effort to end her own life.  According to the report, a male and female were holding down the female in order to stop her until an officer could arrive.  An officer arrived and physically removed the female from the railing the report states.  An MHMR caseworker was called to the scene and transported the female to a counseling center, according to BPD reports.

*10:03pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis lane regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the male subject, identified as 23-year-old Manuel DeJesus Basio, was issued a trespass warning and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

*10:38pm-Brownwood Police responded to an assault in the 300 block of Bluffview.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his boyfriend shoved him against the front door and broke his cell phone when he attempted to call police.  The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Angel Sanchez Huereca of Pleasanton, Texas, was located at the entrance of the Brownwood Police Department parking lot.  Huereca admitted to shoving the complainant the report states.  After investigation, Huereca was arrested for Assault with Injury Family Violence and Interfere with Emergency Telephone Call.

*11:11pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle on FM 2125 for having no working tail lights.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 25-year-old Richea Ladawn King of Zephyr, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and had a previous conviction for Driving While License Invalid.  She was subsequently arrested for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
