Wednesday, June 4

*8:27 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of 2nd Street regarding a follow-up of a harassment report.

*9:43 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a reckless driver call on Hwy 183 South.  According to the report, the deputy was able to locate the suspect vehicle and made a traffic stop.  The driver, identified as 36-year-old Kimberly Ann Sims, failed multiple field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated blood alcohol content equal to or greater than 0.15 after a breath specimen registered 0.172, the report states.  Sims was taken to the Brown County Jail and her vehicle was impounded, according to the report.

*5:45 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 66-year-old Henry Lee Smith after making a traffic stop for reckless driving.  The stop was made on South Main Street and Fisk Street after Smith refused to pull over after traveling approximately a half a mile, passing up ample opportunities to pull over, the report states.  The subject was detained after he came to a stop at the above location and had put his vehicle into reverse moving backward towards the deputy’s patrol unit, the report states.  Lee appeared to be under the influence of something other than alcohol, and after refusing sobriety tests, was found to be in possession of a pill which was identified as generic Soma, a schedule 4 medication, according to the report.  Smith refused a blood draw and was charged with evading arrest detention with vehicle, possession of a dangerous drug and driving while intoxicated, the deputy reported.  He was then transported to the Brown County Jail.

*9:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Calvert Drive regarding theft of property.  According to the report, the reporting party stated that a client of the assisted living facility had approximately $130 in cash stolen from him.

*10:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, during the call, a female claimed to have been threatened by her ex-boyfriend and a criminal trespass warning was issued to the male subject for the female’s apartment.

*1:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of W. Commerce Street regarding theft.  According to the report, Goodwill Industries employees had a female detained in the store for shoplifting.  This call led to the arrest of 81-year-old Cresencia Garcia for the offense of theft greater than $50 enhanced.

*2:45 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the area of 2nd Street and Avenue H regarding a warrant service.   29-year-old Henry Barton Parsons was arrested on multiple warrants including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit other felony, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.  Parsons was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $130,750 as of Friday morning.

*4:57 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a juvenile female was observed concealing some merchandise in her purse and exiting the store without paying for the items. The juvenile was issued a citation for theft, the report states.

*6:50 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, an asset protection employee had the shoplifting suspect detained for attempting to steal a Gerber fixed blade knife, valued at $29.97.  The suspect was issued a citation for theft less than $50 and released from the scene, the report states.

*10:21 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding a civil standby.   According to the report, trespass warnings for two residences were issued to a male subject at the request of the complainant.

*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Zachary Delarosa of Brownwood on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation.  Delarosa was being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Alex Larue Fischer of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Latisha Lorene Kempf for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.
