Sunday, June 2
*3:39 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on County Road 136 near Bangs. During the stop, a metal marijuana pipe and metal stem to a water bong was located on a suspect, according to the report. A partially burnt marijuana cigarette was also located in the vehicle that the suspect claimed ownership of, the report states. James Virgal Lowe, Jr. was arrested for possession of marijuana under 2 oz.
Monday, June 3
*6:30 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a report of attempted burglary of a vehicle in the 1400 block of English Avenue. The complainant said that she noticed some damage to her vehicle’s door weather stripping and antennae.
*2:23 PM – Brownwood Police received information from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services regarding a possible sexual assault. No other information was available.
Tuesday, June 4
*2:36 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a domestic disturbance. Daniel Richard Yanez, 25 of Brownwood was arrested and charged with Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.
*7:00 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2300 block of Avenue D regarding criminal mischief. The complainant reported that an unknown suspect(s) vandalized his company pickup overnight.
*8:30 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1000 block of LaMonte Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.
*2:42 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1200 block of Coggin Avenue regarding burglary of a vehicle. The complainant reported that someone made entry into a vehicle and stole several items valued at $180.
*3:28 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to Avenue H in Blanket regarding theft. The complainant said that someone stole her window air conditioning unit valued at $89.00.
*7:49 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to County Road 329 in Blanket regarding theft.
*10:45 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2600 block of Durham regarding a domestic disturbance. The call resulted in the arrest of 21-year-old Chastity Lowe for assault causes bodily injury.
*10:53 PM – Brownwood Police responded to Coggin Park regarding suspects at the tennis courts smoking marijuana. David Michael Smithson, Jr., 20 of Brownwood, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty grade 2.
