Friday, June 27

*6:27 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Cordell Street regarding a suspicious vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant advised that he observed a vehicle parked in his pasture.  After checking the vehicle and the area, it was determined the vehicle had left the roadway and drove through the complainant’s fence, the report states.  The registered owner was located and advised that her son had taken her vehicle without her permission and had been involved in a wreck, according to the report.  The complainant wished to pursue charges, the report states.

*10:06 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of fraud.  According to the report, a male subject was reporting that money was stolen from his checking account.  During this call, information was provided by the victim indicating that someone had used his bank account information to complete unauthorized purchases at several local businesses, the report states.  A suspect was identified according to the report.

*12:07 PM – Brownwood Police received a report by phone of suspicious activity.  According to the report, the caller stated that she was contacted by a collection agency in reference to a loan that was in default.  The complainant stated that she had one loan with a local company and paid it off but never applied for a second loan and did not receive any money, the report states.

*1:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Austin Avenue regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant’s metal storage building had been written on with markers.  An investigation was conducted which led to three juvenile suspects being identified, the report states.

*2:49 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of 2nd Street regarding theft of property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen two drills and a ladder from his residence.

*3:57 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, a male subject was observed concealing merchandise by a store employee.  Charges are being pursued and it was requested that if the male subject could be identified, a criminal trespass warning be issued, the report states.

*5:31 PM – Brownwood Police responded to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, an employee reported seeing a female conceal items in a shoulder bag and attempt to leave the store without purchasing the items.  The complainant, on behalf of the store wished to pursue charges, the report states.  The female subject was issued a citation for theft less than $50.

*6:09 – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property located on FM 2492 in Brownwood regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the victim stated her ex-boyfriend had assaulted her the previous night after a verbal argument.

*8:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of Avenue H regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*8:28 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the Country Stop, located on Belle Plain Street in Brownwood, regarding a hit and run.   According to the report, the victim stated that someone had struck her vehicle while she was working at Country Stop and had driven off.

*66-year-old Jerry Dean Edgar of May turned himself in on a warrant related to indecency with a child.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Cory Chase McCorkle of Brownwood on a warrant related to resist arrest, search or detention.

*35-year-old Michael Philip Spratt of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

Saturday, June 28

*2:20 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a woman reporting she had been threatened.

*10:15 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired registration.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 26-year-old Nathan Allen Robertson of May, admitted he did not have a driver’s license.  After checking the suspect’s driver’s license through dispatch, the deputy learned that Robertson had three mandatory convictions for driving while license invalid, the report states.  Robertson was then placed under arrest for DWLI with prior convictions.

*11:28 AM – Brownwood Police met with a victim at the law enforcement center regarding fraud.  According to the report, the victim indicated that someone withdrew money from her checking account without her authorization.

*11:54 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of fraud.  According to the report, the victim reported that someone used her social security number to open a bank account without her authorization.

*1:30 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant advised that a pack of cigarettes had been stolen from the inside of his vehicle.

*1:43 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 17-year-old Destiny Danielle Morales and 19-year-old Olga Villarreal both of Brownwood for class B theft.

*2:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant and his daughter had gotten into an argument which became physical.  The complainant did not wish to pursue charges, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Michael Lynn Massey of Bangs on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/theft of property.

*Early Police arrested 36-year-old Brandy Mills of Early for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Charles Staley Peck of Brownwood on a warrant for driving while license invalid.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 37-year-old Roger John Rose of Iola, Texas for unlawful carrying weapon and driving while intoxicated.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Courtney Renae Vrana of Brownwood for public intoxication.

*Early Police arrested 29-year-old Winston Earl Willis of Early for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Sunday, June 29

*1:58 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop on N. Hwy 279 on a white- Ford SUV.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 37-year-old Crystal Michelle Motley of Brownwood, had multiple suspensions on her driver’s license.  A consent search of the vehicle located marijuana residue in the vehicle and a usable amount of marijuana in the center console and under the driver’s seat, the report states.  Motley was placed under arrest for driving while license invalid with precious conviction and possession of marijuana under 2 ounces.

*2:10 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Cordell regarding the theft of a cell phone.  According to the report, a known subject had stolen the cell phone after the complainant gave the subject a ride.  The complainant later returned and reported that her wallet, as well as the wallet of a friend, had been stolen from the vehicle.  Both victims wished to pursue criminal charges.

*9:03 AM – A Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Avenue A after receiving information that Rudolfo Hernandez Lopez of Brownwood, who had an active warrant for his arrest (issued by Austin Parole Division), was currently at the listed address, according to the police report.  Lopez was located and arrested for the warrant and additionally charged with failure to identify fugitive.

*8:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, three shoplifters were issued citations for class C theft.

*Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an assault.  According to the report, a patient had been allegedly stabbed seven times by a relative.  During an investigation, two deputies questioned the males involved and received conflicting accounts of the incident, the report states.  The location of the stabbing was secured and investigated where they found blood stains throughout the front yard and in the residence; however, no knife was located, the report states.

*28-year-old Justin Tyler Williams of Bangs turned  himself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

Monday, June 30

*2:02 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Stewart Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 23-year-old Angelica Maria Silva of Early for assault family violence and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*2:15 AM – A Brownwood Police patrolling in the 500 block of E. Commerce noticed two individuals behind Skillets restaurant beside a vehicle.  According to the report, the two people, later identified as 28-year-old Anna Jeanette Coffey and 26-year-old Jonathan Wesley Branscum both of Brownwood, noticed the patrol unit and got inside the vehicle.  The officer drove on but turned into the hotel parking lot and noticed that the vehicle had moved in front of one of the neighboring hotel rooms and when Branscum noticed the patrol unit, he walked away which seemed suspicious to the officer, the report states.  This call led to the arrest of both Coffey and Branscum for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Lindsey Michelle Buzbee of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Jeromy Wayne Jones of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Michael Andrew Penn for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and driving while intoxicated.

*Early Police arrested 20-year-old Emilio Albert Rangel of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
