Thursday, June 25
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft by check. According to the report, a local veterinarian had been given a check for the amount of $905 for services rendered and the check did not clear. Charges are being pursued, the report states.
Friday, June 26
*11:51 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence in Brownwood regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child.
*2:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of W. Baker Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.
*4:04 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a female who had an active criminal trespass warning for the business was seen by an employee while she concealed items from the store. When the employee confronted the female, she fled the store, the report states.
*4:27 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, a suspect vehicle was located and an investigation was begun.*5:50 PM –Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Oak Park Drive regarding theft. According to the report, various pieces of jewelry had been stolen from the residence. Possible suspects have been identified, the report states.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a medical emergency regarding a possible domestic disturbance which was reported to be in progress. This call resulted in the issuance of a trespass warning being issued to a male subject, the report states.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of credit card abuse. According to the report, the victim stated that an unknown person was using her credit card information to purchase items in Los Angeles, California. When she called American Express to report the unauthorized charges, she was informed a subject was attempting to use the credit card at a Target store in Manhattan Beach, California at that moment. The charge was refused and the card was cancelled, the report states.
*Brownwood Police arrested 61-year-old Johnnie Tom Clark, Jr. of Brownwood on a warrant related to the burglary of a building.
*Bangs Police arrested 26-year-old Tristan Collinsworth of Brownwood on multiple warrants related to three counts of bail jumping, driving while license suspended, failure to maintain financial responsibility and display expired license plate/expired registration.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Dustin Ray Matheny of Brownwood on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/purchase furnish alcohol to a minor and unauthorized absence correctional facility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Kaycee Dawn Musick of Early for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Michael Joe Somerville of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Anita Marie Valdez of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
Saturday, June 27
*8:37 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person. According to the report, the complainant stated that her grandmother had been missing for more than 24 hours and a report was taken. At 9:26 a.m. on Sunday, June 28th, dispatch contacted the deputy who had taken the report and stated Oklahoma Department of Public Safety advised that the missing woman had been involved in an accident and had been found alive in a crashed vehicle in Seymour, Texas, the report states.
*8:41 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Avenue E regarding the burglary of a vehicle.
*1:21 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3300 block of 2nd Street regarding a runaway juvenile. After an investigation, the juvenile was found hiding inside the residence, the report states. 17-year-old William Crawford of Brownwood and one juvenile were placed under arrest for harboring a runaway child. Charges are pending for one additional adult, the report states.
*1:32 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on Hwy 279 regarding speeding. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 31-year-old Nathan Shawn Burleson of Abilene, for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
*4:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Vine Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had damaged his vehicle while it was parked at a Brownwood city park.
*4:54 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, loss prevention officers at the business stated that suspect 27-year-old Eric J. Howard of Comanche had stolen $31.98 worth of merchandise. Howard was arrested for possession of marijuana.
*5:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of 13th Street regarding the theft of a firearm. According to the report, the complainant stated that the firearms were stolen from his residence after having friends over the night before.
*5:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child.
*5:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 12th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, someone had attempted to gain entry into the complainant’s pickup, causing damage, between Thursday and this date.
*6:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Commerce regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, a CPS employee stated that while she was transporting a juvenile to another facility, she made a stop at a local business and the juvenile fled the area. The complainant wished to file the juvenile as a runaway, the report states.
*7:05 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a Brownwood residence regarding possible child abuse. According to the report, officers learned that a 5-year-old child had been struck in the back and that she had fallen and struck her head. Injuries were observed to the child who was transported to the hospital, the report states. 42-year-old David Rayburn was arrested for injury to a child, according to the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Ashton Blake Locke of Brownwood on warrants related to speeding 10% or more, violate promise to appear, and no driver’s license.
Sunday, June 28
*1:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of South Broadway regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that while he and his family were inside the business, someone had broken into his vehicle and stolen several items.
*2:10 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue C regarding a motor vehicle accident. According to the report, a male subject was issued a citation for consumption of marijuana and another male was issued a citation for failure to maintain financial responsibility as a result of the accident.
*9:08 AM – A Brown County sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Brook Valley Drive in May regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that while he and his wife were sleeping overnight, someone entered their home and stole $240 in cash.
*10:43 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Adams Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, two apartments in the 400 block of W. Adams Street were burglarized and the victims are pursuing charges against the suspect. The incident is pending further investigation, the report states.
*2:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a Brownwood residence regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child.
*2:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Center Avenue regarding criminal mischief.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 27-year-old Joshua Earl Caraway of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Early Police arrested 27-year-old Luis Duarte-Pecina of Lincoln, Nebraska for driving while intoxicated/open container.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Carl Eugene Franklin of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams in a drug free zone.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old John Raymond Wilkerson of Brownwood for tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, operate motor vehicle without financial responsibility, and operate vehicle with expired license plate.
