Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday, June 29, 2010.

Friday, June 25

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen laptop, computer bag, and modem.  The laptop was assumed confiscated when the owner was arrested in March of 2009.  The owner recently received a letter from her boyfriend stating that his father was in possession of the computer.

Saturday, June 26

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the scene of an ATV accident in a field just off of Kirkland Drive at Lake Brownwood.  According to the report, the two brothers had been drinking and “cutting up” on their ATV and rolled it.  As the ATV rolled, one of the roll bars broke one brother’s leg.  The break was a compound fracture to the lower leg.  EMS responded to the scene and called for a helicopter to transport the victim to Hendrick’s in Abilene due to the extent of the victim’s injuries.  The other brother was released to his wife’s custody.  The deputy called the family the next day and was told that the injured brother was expected to make a full recovery.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of stolen livestock.   A registered Black Angus bull, weighing between 2000-2500 pounds and valued at $20,000 had been stolen from an 80 ac. property on CR 444.  The owner stated that the bull was halter broke, very gentle and that anyone could walk up to the bull and pet it.  The front gate to the property was only secured with a latch and did not have a lock on it.

The bull was noted missing on Monday when one of its three owners noted it missing.  It is unsure the exact date the bull was last seen.  All neighboring property owners have been contact and none have seen the bull.  The bull is said to have been on the property for the past 5 years and has never jumped the fence and no evidence could be found of jumping a fence.

The owner stated that he had gone to a cattle auction website and noted two bulls sold recently, one of which was a bull that matched the weight of his bull.

Sunday, June 27

*A Brown Count y Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call regarding a welfare concern.  When the deputy arrived, he found that the caller had been texting and calling the resident and threatening to send police to his home according to the report.  The incedent stemmed from a custody battle between the caller and the resident’s daughter over their child, whom the daughter has sole custody of.  The resident filed a report of harassment against the caller and wishes to pursue charges.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to CR 312 in regards to a burglary of a habitation.  The homeowner reported two rifles stolen over the weekend while he was out of town.  A suspect has been named, but no arrests have been made as of the date of the report.

Monday, June 28

*Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Avenue D in regards to suspicious activity.  Upon checking the area, the subjects and the described vehicle were located which led to the arrest of 37-year-old Bryan Thomas Calvert and 25-year-old Fletcher Nathaniel Liggin each on charges of Theft <$1500; Criminal Trespass and Unlawful use of a Criminal Instrument.

*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Maria Conspicion Gamez for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions/Suspended without Insurance.

*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Michael Wayne Hays for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions/Suspended without Insurance.

*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Jesse Michael Patterson for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence

*Brownwood Police responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of 13th Street.  Information was obtained on threats of suicide.

*Brownwood Police received a report of a stolen bicycle in the 1800 block of 7th street.  The bicycle was last seen in the front yard.

*Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of Golding Road regarding a burglary of a building.  Information was obtained from the victim and the offense is under investigation.

Tuesday, June 29

*Bangs Police arrested 24-year-old Darlene Frias on charges of Public Intoxication.

*While executing a warrant in the 1200 block of Irma, Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Roland Jacob Robledo for Burglary of a Habitation out of Garza County.  While searching Robledo, police found a prohibited weapon in his back right pant pocket.  Robledo was charged additionally with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon/Knuckles.

*Brownwood Police were called to Cross Country Care Center regarding a criminal trespass.  Information was obtained and the offense is under investigation.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
