Friday, June 24
*9:41 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue H regarding theft. According to the report, a refrigerator had been stolen from the property by a tenant/suspect.
*1:05 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding a juvenile problem. According to the report, a small amount of narcotics was located on an individual and the subject, identified as 17-year-old Xavier Alexander Chacon of Brownwood, was later arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, disorderly conduct/breach of peace and resisting arrest.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a victim who wished to make a report of stalking. According to the report, the victim stated that the suspect has been writing letters in a renewed attempt to gain her attention. The suspect was convicted of stalking the victim in 2009 and was sentenced to 10 years sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the report states. The suspect has recently been released from prison and has renewed his stalking activity, according to the victim.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Courtney Michelle Hood of Brownwood on two warrants related to driving while license invalid and failure to appear.Saturday, June 25
*2:01 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated she was assaulted after a verbal argument during a party at a residence located somewhere off N US Hwy 183 in Brownwood. According to the report, four suspects were known and fifth suspect was unknown.
*9:10 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Bowie Circle regarding a domestic disturbance.
*11:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Vincent Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a rifle with a scope, an iPad, and a wallet containing credit/debit and identification cards were stolen from the vehicle.
*2:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to FM 2492 regarding the theft of a firearm. According to the report, a Marlin .22 rifle was reported stolen from an unsecured building at the property. No suspect information was available at the time of this report.
*6:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, clothing items, food products, and electronics were stolen from the business. Two suspects were identified by one’s parent and both were then issued citations for theft less than $100, the report states.
*7:48 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 6th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for the driver not wearing a safety belt. According to the report, the deputy made contact with suspect 55-year-old Joseph Baker of Brownwood and advised him of his infraction. During the stop, an investigation determine Baker had attempted to chew up a piece of paper, which contained a small amount of white crystallized substance, the report states. Baker spit the paper out on the roadway next to the vehicle, the report states. After a roadside investigation was conducted and a field test was performed with a positive alert to the presence of methamphetamine, Baker was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair, according to the report. The substance had a total weight of 1.1g with paper and was placed in an evidence locker for safe keeping. Baker was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 32-year-old Carrie Lyn Cox of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Nathan Cole Culp of Brownwood on warrants related to display wrong license plate, no driver’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Jason Wesley Richards of Early for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Patrick Tyrone Tharp of Early for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.
Sunday, June 26
*2:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of San Jacinto and Sharp Street regarding a noise nuisance. According to the report, officers were dispatched to the location regarding a city ordinance violation for a second time. Officers located a vehicle playing loud music and attempted to locate the owner of the vehicle in a storage building nearby, the report states. The subject refused to identify and evaded detention on foot; however, the subject was later identified and found to have two active warrants out of Brown County.
*2:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a male subject had stolen property from the business and charges are being pursued.
*2:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Berkley Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated two bicycles were stolen from his property. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*7:30 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on South Broadway Street in Blanket, TX regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated a relative had broken into her storage building located behind her property. The relative entered the building without her consent and had taken her property from the building, the report states.
*Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 49-year-old David Drafahl of Robinson, Texas for boating while intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Yunuen Gamez of Brownwood on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than or equal to 1 gram less than 4 grams.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 33-year-old Joel Lara-Haro of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 52-year-old Shirley Arlene Twilligear of Brownwood for aggravated assault date/family/house member with weapon.
Monday, June 27
*1:13 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop on two males and a female in the 1300 block of Avenue A. According to the report, this stop led to the issuance of a citation to one of the males for minor in consumption of alcohol and two citations to the other male for minor in consumption of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia.
