Thursday, June 20

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received information that Jose Raul Salinas-Garcia would be traveling from Dallas to Brownwood and would possibly be in possession of methamphetamine, according to a Brown County Sheriff’s report.  According to the report, a traffic stop was conducted in the 1400 block of Early Blvd. for speeding.  BCSO investigators Stroope and Gover assisted with the investigation and utilized the K-9 officer who alerted to the vehicle and trailer, the report states.  A search of the vehicle and trailer revealed a clear plastic baggie with methamphetamine residue and a block of wood which was cut in half with the center hollowed out making a void in the center, the report states.  According to the report, the two pieces were screwed together to make it appear as one piece of wood.  Salinas-Garcia was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and unlawful use of a criminal instrument.  The vehicle and trailer were taken to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center and further searched, the report states.  Both were seized as a result of the stop.

Sunday, June 23

*1:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding a noise complaint.   According to the report, three suspects, identified as Marcus Phillips, Dustin Madrid and Bryan Penn, allegedly threw a 4-way lug wrench through windows of the apartment.  Phillips, Madrid and Penn were all arrested and charged with criminal mischief greater than $50 less than $500.

Wednesday, June 26

*8:13 AM – A Brownwood Police officer was patrolling in the 900 block of Main Street on May 11th when he made a traffic stop.  According to the report, the driver identified himself to the officer and was given a citation for driving while license invalid.  On Friday, June 21st, the Brownwood City Marshal Dean Kilburn informed the officer that the driver had given his brother’s name during the traffic stop.  Kilburn knew this because the brother whose identity was used in the traffic stop is currently serving time in prison and had been there since October of 2012, the report states.  After reviewing the recording of the stop, the officer completed a report for failure to identify, according to the report.

*10:17 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Duke Street regarding theft.  According to the report, a purse and its contents were stolen.  Items stolen included four social security cards and a birth certificate.

*1:24 PM- A Brownwood Police officer was on patrol in the parking lot of Big Lots when he observed a person taking bags of potting soil from the business, located in the 300 block of E. Commerce without permission.  The individual was stopped, cited for theft and released from the scene.

*9:43 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he was traveling east in the 200 block of E. Commerce, when a black or dark blue newer body style Chevrolet pickup struck his 2006 Scion when the suspect vehicle pulled left the Chili’s parking lot.  The suspect vehicle then fled the scene, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old William Joe Bailey for public intoxication with three prior convictions.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Eugene Deshon Christman on an indictment for delivery of marijuana greater than 1 ounce less than 4 ounces in a drug free zone.  Christman is being held in the Brown County Jail on $10,000 bond.

*Early Police arrested 19-year-old Megan Cruz of Early on a warrant for theft and disorderly conduct.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Shawn Lee Hickey on a warrant for motion to adjudicate related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Early Police arrested 18-year-old Kyle Scott Perry of Bangs for disorderly conduct obscene language.

*Early Police arrested 18-year old Trevolia Jaleel Rudd of Zephyr for disorderly conduct obscene language.

*Early Police arrested 18-year old Laramie Nicole Seat of Zephyr for disorderly conduct obscene language.
