Law enforcement arrests and reports released Tuesday and Wednesday, June 26 -27, 2012.
Monday, June 25
12:19am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Magnolia Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown person damaged her vehicle.
*10:44am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Belmeade Street regarding found property. According to the report, the complainant found a bicycle near the fence of his property lying under some brush. The bicycle was taken to the Brownwood Police Department and placed into the bicycle impound until its owner can properly identify and claim it.
*12:18pm-Brownwood Police were contacted by telephone by a complainant who was in San Angelo who stated that while she was in Brownwood last week, her vehicle was burglarized. An investigation was begun into the burglary and theft of prescription medication from the inside of the vehicle.
*2:35pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding identity theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that she believes that someone is using her name and date of birth fraudulently. She explained that when she attempted to pass a check at Wal-Mart recently, it was declined and that she had the same problem a few months ago. The complainant believed that a computer entry had been made causing her name and date of birth to be cross referenced and Wal-Mart began declining her checks, the report states. The complainant believed she had corrected the problem in May; however, on the date of the report, her check was again declined.
*5:49pm-Brownwood Police were called to the area of Alamo Court regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a window of a vehicle was broken between 3pm and 5:30pm while parked in the driveway of a residence. It appeared that a BB or pellet had struck the rear glass causing it to shatter, the report states. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*8:51pm-Brownwood Police were called to a disturbance in the 500 block of Parkway Drive. According to the report, the complainant’s brother damaged several items at the residence after a verbal argument. The estimated total of the damage exceeds $1000 and suspect information was provided, the report states.
Tuesday, June 26
*3:06pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that his 10 gallon air compressor with hose was missing and that he wished to pursue charges for the theft.
*3:16pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3200 block of Asbury regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant hired a subject to do yard work at her residence. While the complainant was out of town, the subject began doing the work around 8:00am and when the complainant returned, the front door was broken out, according to the report. The complainant did not wish to pursue criminal charges; however did request documentation of the incident, the report states.
*8:26pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Oak Street regarding a bicycle outside an abandoned residence behind an abandoned vehicle. According to the report, the bicycle was taken to the BPD bicycle impound until the owner can be identified and the abandoned vehicle was red tagged.
*9:06pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Fisk Avenue regarding possible child abuse or neglect. According to the report, information was received concerning the possible abuse to the complainant’s children by their father. A report will be forwarded to Child Protective Services for possible follow-up, the report states.
*9:33pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Brick and Sunset Street for a traffic violation. According to the report, the stop resulted in the passenger of the vehicle being issued a citation for Open Container.
Wednesday, June 27
*3:12am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 300 block of W. Commerce for a right turn on red where prohibited. According to the report, the driver of the vehicle, identified as 44-year-old Olan Dale Booher of Capitan, New Mexico, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, 2nd.
*Early Police arrested 47-year-old Jimmy William McElhaney Jolly of Early for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction.
*Early Police arrested 21-year-old Devin Lohse of San Angelo for Driving While License Invalid.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
