Monday, June 23
*12:42 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Lane Street regarding the burglary of habitation. The report states that according to the complainant’s mother, several electronics and a piece of jewelry were stolen from her son.
*1:10 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 4th Street regarding a 911 hang up. Upon arrival it was determined that a domestic disturbance had taken place.
*1:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an unwanted person, who was a known subject. The person was criminally trespassed from the property.
*11:15 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce, regarding an assault. According to the report, a subject was in the lobby of the hotel stating that another guest had broken his jaw. The male was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room by ambulance, the report states.
Tuesday, June 24
*7:40 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, a red vehicle had crashed into the fence at Northwest Elementary. The suspect vehicle and driver, identified as 71-year-old Billy Nolan Rattle of Brownwood, were located in the 1500 block of Melwood. After an investigation, Rattle was arrested and charged with failing to comply with requirements on striking fixtures on a highway.
*11:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on 7th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the caller stated that the home, which was involved in an estate sale, had been broken into and some kitchen items were stolen. The caller stated that representatives of the estate wished for charges to be filed, the report states.
*12:50 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding assault by threat. The incident was under investigation, the report states.
*3:38 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the burglary of a vehicle which had occurred in the 1100 block of Austin Avenue. According to the report, a copper vape pipe and atomizers, a cell phone charger, a draw string bag and a decorative box were among the items stolen from the vehicle.
*4:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Magnolia regarding theft. According to the report, a subject had borrowed a phone to make a call and then fled from the area with the phone. A suspect has been identified, the report states.
*8:10 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the Budget Inn, in the 500 block of E. Commerce, regarding a domestic disturbance; however, when officers made contact with the parties in the room, it was determined that there was no problem. As the officers were leaving, they observed two men walking beside the hotel and behind a nearby convenience store, the report states. One of the men was seen taking a large object out of his pocket and then began smoking it, which appeared consistent with drug activity, the report states. The officers drove to the front of the store where they made contact with the subjects, identified as 19-year-old Miguel Valdez and 19-year-old Faustino Valdez of Austin. Both subjects were arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*8:58 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding a welfare check.
*Brownwood Police arrested 39-year-old Sergio Efraim Castillo of Brownwood on warrants related to theft and failure to appear.
*Early Police arrested 33-year-old Darien Chinua Jefferson of Fort Worth for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams and driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*24-year-old Roy Maldonado, Jr. of San Angelo turned himself in on a warrant related to an order to amend probation.
*33-year-old Jason Lynn Sliger of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Wednesday, June 25
*12:10 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the caller stated that he observed another neighbor taking a blanket out of the back of a truck which was parked at the complex.
*Brownwood Police arrested 45-year-old Billy V. Taylor of Dale, Texas on warrants related to speeding 10% or more and violate promise to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old John Raymond Wilkerson of Brownwood on warrants related to administrative release violator and child support.
