Saturday, June 22
*12:33 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on S. Hwy 183 where a female complainant had been assaulted by her boyfriend identified as 60-year-old Charles Croft, according to a sheriff’s report. The report states that Croft had pulled the victim’s hair and struck her in the face and head with his fist. During the altercation, Croft allegedly took the victim’s phone away to keep her from making an emergency call. The victim had injuries to the left side of her face by her eye, a bump on the right side of her head above the ear, a hand shaped bruise on her upper arm and an abrasion on the left upper arm. Croft was arrested for assault family violence with bodily injury and for interfere with emergency phone call.
Monday, June 24
*10:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the suspect identified as 35-year-old Nathaniel Lamonte Webb was located and arrested. Webb was charged with assault family/household member with previous conviction and interfere with emergency telephone call.
*10:13 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a civil standby. According to the report, a female stated that she had been physically assaulted by her boyfriend at the above location; however no physical injuries were sustained during the assault.
*11:48 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant’s cell phone was stolen from McDonald’s after he mistakenly left it on the counter. The complainant wished to pursue charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.
*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Laura Angelica Arredondo on a warrant for criminal trespass, resist arrest search or transport and for criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 25-year-old Rebecca Kay Belveal on a warrant for failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Alyssa Roann Chick of Early on three warrants related to two counts of driving while license invalid and failure to appear.
*Brown County Sherriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Douglas Wade Mitchell of San Angelo for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
Tuesday, June 25
*Early Police arrested 62-year-old Robert Danner of May for public intoxication.
*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Michael Joe Sommerville for driving while intoxicated.
