Monday, June 18

*5:23pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the theft of an iPhone.  According to the report, the complainant reported his girlfriend moved out of his residence and took his daughter’s iPhone and allegedly will not return the phone.

Friday, June 22

*6:06pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding an assault.  According to the report, neighbors were involved in a domestic disturbance and one stated that the other “dug his fingernails into her wrist” and that she pushed him in the chest to push him away from her and left to call the police.   The other neighbor stated that the female neighbor came into his apartment and struck him in the chest with her fist according to the report.  Both parties of the disturbance wished to file criminal charges against each other for the offense of Assault with Injury, the report states.

*7:54pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookshire’s, regarding a welfare check of children possibly abused by their father.  According to the report, investigation showed that there was punishment for behavior and that the father admitted to slapping one of the children on the face.  Officers did not observe any injuries on the child; however Child Protective Services was contacted.

*7:55pm-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a report of burglary of a building.  According to the report, the complainant had moved out of state at the end of November of 2011 and that upon her return to the home on June 16th, she noted several items missing totaling over $2000.  The complainant stated that numerous neighbors had witnessed a known suspect taking items from the property on several occasions, the report states.  The home also had animal urine and feces along with trash scattered throughout, which the complainant stated was not present when she left the home in November. She believed the suspects were also responsible for the condition of the house, according to the report.

*9:34pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the manager of the complex stated that an apartment within the complex had been burglarized and that during the offense, the backyard fence of the apartment had been damaged.  The manager wished to pursue criminal mischief charges for the damage to the fence of the apartment that was burglarized, the report states.

Saturday, June 23

*12:02am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Indian Creek Drive regarding a prowler.  According to the report, the complainant stated that two known suspects broke open her front door, struck her and then fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.  The complainant explained to police that she had told her daughter to move out and that her son and another friend came with the daughter to the house in order to get some of her belongings, and the son allegedly had a baseball bat according to the report.  The complainant allowed the daughter inside but, fearing for her safety and that of the other people inside the home, she locked the door in order to keep the son out, according to the report.  Allegedly, the son began beating on the door, threatening the complainant, eventually damaging and forcing the door open to gain entry to the home.  The complainant was struck by the door when it broke, the report states.  No arrests were made at the time of the report; however investigation of the incident is ongoing.

*4:37pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft, at the 7-11 at 1501 Coggin.  Suspects in the incident have been identified, the report states.

*5:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Oak Street regarding a noise complaint.  According to the report, the resident of the home stated that he had been at a local fast food place and got into an argument with some unknown individuals and that they followed him to Stripes and then eventually to his home.  While speaking with officers, the resident was loudly describing the events and using profane language, loud enough to be heard by neighboring residents, and the officer asked him to go inside his residence; however he refused and stated that he wanted to “stay outside and drink some more beer,” the report states.  The resident was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct Loud/Profane Language and did eventually go inside his residence according to police.

*11:25pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Commerce after several traffic violations were observed.  According to the report, the driver was identified as 41-year-old Destiny Mayfield-Daniels and the passenger was identified as 27-year-old Joshua Allcorn of Bangs.  Mayfield-Daniels consented to a search of the vehicle, and during the search, a pill container was located in the ashtray which contained a green leafy substance determined to be marijuana, the report states.  Both Mayfield-Daniels and Allcorn denied ownership of the marijuana and were both charged with Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the report of a burglary of a building in Brown County where two horse saddles, valued at $800, were taken without the owner’s consent.  According to the report, the owner stated that he had called a friend who buys and sells tack at the flea market in Stephenville and described the saddles. The friend advised he had just purchased saddles from a young couple matching the description given.  The owner stated that the couple described may be people he knows and who were in Brown County over the weekend.  The owner does wish to pursue criminal charges.

Sunday, June 24

*4:25am-Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Booker Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, after investigation 23-year-old Mallorie Brook Pope Basio was arrested for Assault with Injury Family Violence, Unlawful Restraint, and for an outstanding Brown County warrant.

*8:50am-Brownwood Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a female complainant.  According to the report, as the car was reported stolen, a passerby called in a vehicle that had been wrecked which also matched the description of the stolen vehicle.  The vehicle had crashed through a fence along County Road 338 according to law enforcement.  Evidence at the scene indicated that a subject taller than the complainant was driving the vehicle and that the subject had burns or lacerations from the air bag which had deployed, according to police.  Investigation determined that a relative of the complainant had wrecked the vehicle after he admitted driving the vehicle when it crashed.  The relative stated that he had left the scene because he was scared.  No arrests were made at the time of the report and the investigation is ongoing.

*12:45pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Belle Plain regarding the attempted unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant reported the steering column on his 2001 Ford Mustang was damaged during the offense.

*11:37pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Norwood regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, investigation resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Christopher Knox for Assault with Injury/Strangulation and for outstanding warrants from Rains County.

*11:40pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Avenue D regarding an assault.   According to the report, the suspect had left prior to the officer’s arrival; however the complainant gave an account of a dispute which involved assault.  The report states that the suspect begging the victim not to call police and then took her phone away, possibly throwing it over the fence before he got into his vehicle and drove away from the scene.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Oscar Costilla of Mabank for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd.

*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Benito Espinosa of Early on a Border Patrol hold.

Monday, June 25

*1:38am-Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Arrowhead Drive regarding an unwanted person at the address.  According to the report, a witness confirmed that a juvenile female who was unwelcome by the homeowner was at the residence.  Police indicate that the suspect was not on scene at the time of the report.  The incident is pending further review according to the report.

*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Carrie Ann Bloomer of Early for Theft of Property less than $50.

*Early Police arrested 26-year-old Dorina Soliz of Early for Theft of Property less than $50.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
