Thursday, June 20
*1:16 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office were called to the 8000 block of County Road 607 regarding a burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant advised that an unknown person broke into the residence sometime between June 2 and June 14 and stole miscellaneous items valued at $2543.12.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to an animal cruelty call on 4th Street in Blanket. According to the report, the couple had been looking for their 3-year-old dog when they heard a shot and later saw the dog come down the street limping. A wound to the right front leg was found and they believed the dog had been shot, the report states. A possible suspect was named.
*9:25 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest of 36-year-old Ronnie Lee Massey of Bangs for driving while license suspended. Massey’s license was suspended and he had four previous convictions for driving while license invalid, the report states.
Friday, June 21
*1:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377S regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant advised she was assaulted by her daughter.*5:18 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Vincent Street regarding a defective brake light. According to the report, the driver and only occupant of the vehicle 33-year-old Jimmy Duane Atkinson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2A less than 2 ounces.
*9:38 PM – A Brownwood Police officer while on patrol noticed a white male stumble to the south side of a store in the 1900 block of Belle Plain. According to the report, the male began leaning against the wall and appeared to be urinating in public. After he finished, he stumbled to a pickup that was parked in the lot of the store, the report states. Another male was sitting in the driver’s seat of the pickup the report states. This call led to the arrest of 34-year-old Billy Joe Brummett and 32-year-old Thomas Dwayne Brummett, both of Brookesmith, for public intoxication, according to the report.
*10:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding a subject breaking windows at a hotel. A suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jacob Wayne Baker of Santa Anna, was located and arrested.
*10:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of Coggin Avenue, Allsup’s, regarding an attempted theft of a bottle of Pepto Bismol valued at $3.79. According to the report, a male suspect was issued a citation for theft less than $50.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Jerrell D. Bradford of Zephyr for warrants related to no driver’s license and violate promise to appear.
*Early Police arrested 58-year-old Victor V. Gonzales for illegal dumping.
*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Virginia Ruth Greene on warrants related to open container and violate promise to appear.
*Early Police arrested 33-year-old Hugo Enrique Ortega of San Angelo for public intoxication.
Saturday, June 22
*5:39 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on 12th Street regarding an alleged sexual assault. According to the report, the complainant stated between the hours of 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., she was raped in her bedroom. An investigation is ongoing and a possible suspect identified.
*6:01 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Bowie Circle regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a Sony Playstation, two of its wireless remote controllers, a DVD video camera, and various Playstation games were stolen. Estimated value of the stolen items was $670.
*6:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Main Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that she had left home for approximately one hour and returned to find the back door open and a 60” flatscreen television was missing.
*9:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding possible narcotic activity in the area. After an investigation and foot pursuit, 18-year-old Nathan Blake Gonzales was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana equal or less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone, evading arrest detention and tampering with physical evidence, according to the police report.
*9:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart, 400 block of W. Commerce Street, regarding theft. According to the report, while a loss prevention employee was chasing the subject, another subject stole the items that the subject was attempting to take. Surveillance video captured the image of the suspect.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Lonicio Rodriguez Carrillio III for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and for a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 60-year-old Charles David Croft for assault causes bodily injury family violence and interfere with emergency call.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Betheny Joann Galvan on a warrant related to motion to revoke/theft of property $20-$500 by check.
*Brown county Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Eric Lynn Jones of Early on a warrant for theft by check equal to or greater than $20 less than $500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Renee Jones of San Antonio on a warrant for theft by check equal to or greater than $20 less than $500 enhanced.
Sunday, June 23
*4:30 PM – Brownwood Police while on patrol observed and recognized a vehicle driven by a person known to have a suspended license and expired motor vehicle inspection sticker. According to the report, the vehicle was stopped and after a brief investigation, 19-year-old Dustin Scott Atkins was arrested for driving while license suspended.
*5:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of a habitation. According to the report, a Folger’s coffee can containing about $80.00 in U.S. currency was stolen.
*6:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of 13th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a male subject struck another male subject on the chest. This call resulted in the arrest of 36-year-old Faustino Ray Ortega for assault family violence with previous convictions.
*11:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2500 block of Hillsboro Street regarding an unwanted person. This call resulted in the arrest of 17-year-old Laura Arredondo for criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500, resisting arrest, and criminal trespassing of a habitation, according to the police report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Nicholas Cody Grady for driving while license invalid.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Dustin Glynn Madrid for criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Bryan Dee Penn II for criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Marcus Alton Phillips for criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
Monday, June 24
*12:05 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Center Avenue (Round Mountain Tower) regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, upon arrival a male subject advised that sometime between the hours of 11:00 PM and 11:45 PM, someone had broken into the building, pried open the door and took an FM Exciter along with a red and yellow box of tools.
*3:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of San Benito Drive regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, this call resulted in the arrest of 29-year-old James Matthew Roberts of Early for two counts of criminal trespass and evading arrest detention.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 49-year-old Dennis Lynn Holt of May for driving while intoxicated 1st and possession of marijuana.
