Monday, June 22
*10:55 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4500 block of Danhil Drive regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a suspect is known and charges are expected to be filed.
*11:53 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft.
*12:23 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a juvenile problem. An investigation determined that a female juvenile had bitten a family member. The female was arrested for the offense of assault with injury family violence and was taken to the law enforcement center for processing and then taken to the Juvenile Detention Center per the order of the Juvenile Probation Officer, the report states.
*1:54 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of South US Hwy 377 regarding a hit and run.
*2:38 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft from a business on Hwy 279 in Brownwood. According to the report, an investigation of theft greater than $1,500 less than $20,000 was documented.
*2:42 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 1st Street regarding a civil standby. This call turned into an investigation, which is ongoing, of felony theft, the report states.*2:51 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a male subject stole the complainant’s bicycle and charges are being pursued.
*5:36 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 700 block of Avenue J regarding theft. According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 36-year-old James Vergil Bilbrey of Brownwood on a warrant and for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*5:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding an alleged sexual assault of a child. According to the report, the assault was believed to have occurred inside the city limits of Brownwood. Contact has been made with the child’s mother and an investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2000 block of Main Blvd. regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that a relative had pushed her down causing her pain. The incident was documented.
*11:17 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on FM 2492 regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, an incident of assault causes bodily injury was documented after a parent and daughter were involved in a verbal argument.
*11:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence in the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding a possible disturbance. After an investigation, it was determined that a male had assaulted his mother before fleeing the scene, according to police. While on scene, drug paraphernalia, reported to belong to the suspect, was located at the residence. The incident was documented.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of credit card abuse. According to the report, the complainant stated that several unauthorized charges were noticed on her banking account.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 67-year-old Dwayne Lewis Elms of Brownwood on a warrant related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 less than 28 grams.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Rollie Galvan Lopez of Brownwood on warrants related to manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and evading arrest or detention with previous conviction. Galvan was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $350,000 as of Tuesday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Stephanie Rena Phillips of Brownwood on warrants related to ran stop sign, no seat belt driver, violate promise to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Terry Lee Reed, Jr. on a warrant related to theft of firearm.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 57-year-old Kenneth Mark Timberlake of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Elizabeth Louise Willett of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
Tuesday, June 23
*1:54 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding theft. According to the manager of the business, the suspect went across the street to Lednicke Park. The suspect, identified as 54-year-old Gregory James Arguello of Brownwood, was located and later determined to be intoxicated and arrested for this offense.
*31-year-old Reba Faye Buffington of Brownwood turned herself in on warrants related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and motion to revoke/credit card or debit card abuse.
