Thursday, June 18
*9:00 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Austin Avenue regarding the theft of a mountain bike, valued at $2500. The theft occurred during the overnight hours between 6:00 p.m. on June 17 and 9:00 a.m. on June 18, according to police. The complainant wished to pursue charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.
*4:09 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a burglary. The complainant stated that the mother of her grandson came into her home and took some of his clothing without permission. An investigation determined no offense had occurred; however, the woman was issued a criminal trespass warning at the complainant’s request.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of identity theft from a complainant in Blanket.
Friday, June 19
*6:13 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of 4th Street regarding a hit and run accident.
*8:03 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Durham Avenue regarding criminal mischief.
*8:09 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a building. A purse was stolen out of the victim’s vehicle while it was parked at a residence in the area, according to the report.
*10:45 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Melwood regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, a cash box was stolen from a restaurant during the burglary. An investigation is ongoing, police state.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of County Road 551 and Green River Road in Brownwood. During the stop, the driver was identified as 40-year-old Jody Delon Nelson of Springtown, Texas. Nelson pulled illegal drugs out of his right front pocket and then attempted to resist arrest while being detained for the contraband, the report states. Nelson was eventually arrested for committing the offenses of manufacture delivery of substance penalty group 1, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, resisting arrest, search or transport, and driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Payden Blaine Blackburn of Brownwood on warrants related to surety withdrawals for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams and driving while license invalid.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Beaufort Allen Venzor of Brownwood on a warrant related to criminal trespass.
Saturday, June 20
*12:23 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Melwood Avenue regarding an intoxicated subject. According to the report, a subject identified as 18-year-old Adrian Michael Vela of Brownwood, was heavily intoxicated and walking around the apartment complex yelling. This call led to the arrest of Vela for public intoxication.
*1:07 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of 8th Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the unwanted person, identified as 17-year-old Devon Jason Montemayor of Brownwood, was issued a criminal trespass warning and arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*1:52 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, officers arrived on scene to find a male subject holding a knife to his throat with severe lacerations to his arm and neck. The male would not release the knife so the officer tased him so he would no longer harm himself, the report states. The male was taken to the emergency room for treatment of self-inflicted injuries, according to police. After an investigation, it was found that the male had assaulted a female and a warrant was sought.
*7:38 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report via phone call regarding the theft of a firearm. According to the report, sometime between the dates of May 27, 2015 and June 20, 2015, a .45 caliber pistol was taken from the complainant’s vehicle. The location of the vehicle during the theft was undetermined.
* Early Police arrested 29-year-old Primitivo Guerrero of Coleman for driving while intoxicated.
* A Brown County Water Improvement Lake Patrol Officer arrested 39-year-old Christopher Michael Schulze of Early for reckless driving.
Sunday, June 21
*1:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a suicide attempt in the 1300 block of Phillips Avenue. According to the report, a male subject had taken an unknown amount of pills. During an investigation, it was determined that an assault had occurred as well, the report states. The male was taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Larry Scott Dudley of Brownwood on warrants related to surety withdrawals for unlawful delivery manufacture with intent to distribute controlled substance and tamper fabricate physical evidence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Jessica Renee McGlasson of Brownwood for possession of drug paraphernalia.
*Early Police arrested 50-year-old Maria Delores Robledo of Early for terror threat against public service, terroristic threat and criminal trespass.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Lukas Scott Rootes of Brownwood for possession delivery of drug paraphernalia and for license required.
