Law enforcement reports released on Wednesday, June 22, 2011.

Monday, June 20

*9:32am-A Brownwood Police officer was flagged down by a complainant who reported a theft involving family members, which according to the complainant occurred several months ago.    Suspects have not been identified at the time of the report.

Tuesday, June 21

*10:07am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Market Place Blvd. regarding the theft of a bicycle, which is a 2009 20-inch bicycle valued at approximately $239 according to the complainant.  The bicycle was entered into the database as a stolen bicycle.

*5:08pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding two shoplifting suspects in custody.  According to the report, the loss prevention employee reported seeing the two suspects, identified as 17-year-old Kaysha Ridley and 18-year-old Sylvia Walters, conceal numerous times and try to leave the store without paying.  Ridley and Walters were both arrested and were each charged with Theft of Property greater or equal to $500 less than $1500.

*5:51pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Brownwood Police Department (BPD) who stated that he had been in a physical altercation with a co-worker at their place of employment.  The other party to the incident was not able to be contacted at the time of the report.  No charges have been filed by either party at the time of the report.

*6:32pm-Brownwood Police responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Main Street regarding a burglary.   The complainants told the officer that some unknown subject(s) broke into their residence and stole several personal items.

*9:40pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the BPD regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated her ex-husband has been sending her harassing text messages.

*11:02pm-Brownwood Police responded to a Burglary of a Habitation in the 1600 block of 4th Street.  According to the report, two speakers valued at $150 total were taken from inside the residence.  Suspects were identified; however no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

*Brownwood Sheriff’s Office was involved in an investigation which led to the search of a residence.  During the search investigators found some marijuana in the residence.  This resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old DeShawn  Maurice Johnson of Lake Brownwood and 24-year-old Derek Michael Kennan, each were charged with Possession of Marijuana 2 oz in a Drug Free Zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft near the area of Jenkins Springs Cemetery.  According to the report, a documentary crew from Alaska had come to Early and set up a camera to film the sun setting.  When they returned to the area to retrieve the camera ten minutes later, it had been stolen the report states.    The value of the camera, lenses, battery, and tripod were estimated to be around $2,000.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
