Monday, June 20

*7:43 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, an unknown suspect had spray painted some walls in the complex.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*8:31 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Hwy 377 South regarding counterfeiting/forgery.  According to the report, a counterfeit $50 bill was passed at the convenience store.

*9:09 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, a vehicle (2005 Saturn Vue valued at $5500) was stolen off of the used car lot.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*10:48 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, a bicycle valued at $500, a camelback backpack and other items were stolen from the property.  An investigation was started and later in the day, a suspect was discovered with the stolen property and arrested for the offense.

*11:20 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Ivanhoe Lane regarding a scam.  According to the report, the complainant advised he had been a victim of a scam, which took $500 from him through the use of a prepaid Visa card.

*1:17 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a victim at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft of property greater than $2500 less than $30,000.  A suspect was named, the report states.

*4:49 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a lost or stolen firearm.  According to the report, the complainant did not have any suspect information.

*6:11 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding forgery/counterfeiting.  According to the report, a counterfeit $20 bill was passed at the restaurant.  Photographs of the suspects from the restaurant’s surveillance equipment was obtained.

*7:03 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at a property located on US Hwy 183 in Early, TX regarding a theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had come onto his property without his consent and took a bed cover from his pickup which was parked behind his barn.

*11:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Avenue B regarding an unrelated matter when officers observed tattooing taking place in a bedroom not designed or sterilized for tattooing.  A tattoo regulation requirements Class A misdemeanor was documented, the report states.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Country Club Drive regarding the theft of 2 gold rings from the home. According to the report, the rings were valued at approximately $84,000 together.  At the time of this report, there were no specific suspects to list and no sign of any burglary or forced entry into the home.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Oscar Alvarez of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence and on two warrants related to no driver’s license and violate promise to appear.

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Ryne Mahoney of Weatherford, Texas for theft of property equal or greater than or equal to $100 less than $750.

*Early Police arrested 31-year-old Ernesto Salazar of Austin, Texas for driving while license invalid, speeding over limit (70 mph in 55 mph zone), and on a Travis County warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1.

*Early Police arrested 32-year-old Miguel Granados Salazar of Austin, Texas on a Travis County warrant for theft by check.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 21-year-old Stephen Cody Tackett of Coleman, Texas on warrants related to no driver’s license and failure to appear.

*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Oscar Oviedo Zuniga of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to appear/failure to identify, driving while license invalid, violate promise to appear, display expired license plate/registration, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and motion to revoke/burglary of a building.

Tuesday, June 21

*2:34 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Avenue B regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 42-year-old Mandy Leigh Hardin of Brownwood for assault causing bodily injury family member.

*Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of E. Baker Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, a suspect was identified and the incident documented.

*Early Police arrested 45-year-old Donney Ray Holster of Early for driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age.
