Law enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, June 21, 2012.
Tuesday, June 19
*2:29pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was on patrol, looking for a wanted subject who had earlier in the day evaded being arrested by the Brownwood City Marshal. According to the report, the man identified as David Henry Bivins was located behind a storage building and immediately fled from officers, jumping several fences and into the Jim Ned Creek bed. Bivins was surrounded and located, then arrested for Evading Arrest/Detention and for two City of Brownwood warrants as well as two Brown County warrants.
Wednesday, June 20
*1:37am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 2nd Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a known suspect took several items from his home while staying there to keep watch over his property and belongings.
*10:11am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, management at Kroger reported that a male was inside the store cursing at a Brownwood firefighter and that they wanted the male removed from the store. The male was located and issued a criminal trespass warning at management’s request, the report states.
*11:58am-Brownwood police responded to the 2200 block of Avenue D regarding a follow up of a burglary that had taken place earlier in the morning. According to the report, the complainant advised officers that he did wish to pursue charges against a suspect who had stolen money from his vehicle and entered his residence earlier in the day.
*5:35pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding found property. According to the report, the complainant had earlier located a bicycle laying on the ground next to the creek bed while walking along the creek which is adjacent to his property. He believed that the bicycle might be stolen due to its location in the creek bed which was not viewable from the roadway, the report states. The bicycle was pushed to his residence where he then called police who checked and found that the bike was not stolen, according to the report. The bicycle was taken to the Brownwood Police Department where it was placed into the bicycle impound.
*6:36pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 2nd Street regarding drugs/narcotics that had been found in the residence. According to the report, drug paraphernalia was found at the house and turned into the police who placed the items in the property room.
Thursday, June 21
*12:45am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Slayden regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the juvenile ran away from his home and was listed as a runaway. No further information was available.
All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
